JOB LOCATION: Lexington, MA

POSITION: Technical System Owner

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Shire Human Genetic Therapies Inc. is seeking a Technical System Owner with the following duties: Lead the support and ownership of technical systems ensuring flawless operation for a growing portfolio of application/systems; Analyze complex business processes to identify, evaluate, develop and/or redesign systems, processes, and procedures to meet user requirements on large initiatives; Create detailed written user requirements; Provide consultation to customers on business process redesign; Assist in the development of system documentation and training materials as well as training processes; Collaborate with application SMEs to understand systems and interfaces ensuring good data quality of the data exchange during usage; Encourage the re-use of existing digital technologies to automate and simplify repetitive tasks; Exhibit a continuous improvement (CI) mindset to automate and simplify repetitive tasks leveraging workforce automation; Persuade others with fact-based judgments of business situations to apply technical solutions. Up to 40% remote work allowed; Up to 20% domestic and international travel required for meetings.

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field plus 4 years related experience. Prior experience must include: Foster continuous improvement by leveraging automation technologies and robotic process automation (RPA) using UiPath, Automation Anywhere, and Power Automate to enhance efficiency in recurring processes; End to end ownership of technical applications enabling operational continuity for business; Contribute to the preparation of system-related requirements, design, and technical documentation following software development life cycle (SDLC) and document comprehensive and precise user requirements to guide system and process development efforts; Examine business workflows to implement systems and processes to align with stakeholder needs; Analyze intricate business processes to assess, create, and redefine systems, processes, and procedures to meet stakeholder requirements for large-scale projects.

Full time. $147,000 - $208,700 per year.
