Mexico City has been selected to be home to Takeda’s recently launched Innovation Capability Center thanks to its international recognition in qualified and experienced talent in the data, digital and technology fields. We invite you to join our digital transformation journey.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to boost your skills and become the heart of an innovative engine that is contributing to global impact and improvement.
At Takeda’s ICC we Unite in Diversity: Takeda is committed to creating an inclusive and collaborative workplace, where individuals are recognized for their backgrounds and the abilities they bring to our company. We are continuously improving our collaborators’ journey in Takeda, and we welcome applications from all qualified candidates. Here, you will feel welcomed, respected, and valued as an important contributor to our diverse team.
The Opportunity:
As a Principal Business Analyst, you will take ownership of business analysis activities of medium to high complexity, working closely with business stakeholders and technical delivery teams within the CAPTIVATE Planisware platform.
Working closely with product management, product owners, and delivery teams, you will lead the end-to-end requirements lifecycle—from initial intake through delivery and closure. This includes configuration issues, data model changes, platform enhancements, and reporting fixes. You will validate user stories, drive functional testing, and own the closure process for delivered solutions, ensuring outcomes are fully aligned with business needs.
You will also maintain accurate and up-to-date requirements documentation, enabling consistent, efficient, and high-quality delivery across all request types.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary functional interface between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams, ensuring requests are clearly understood, properly scoped, and aligned with business objectives.
- Own the review of configuration issues and data model changes, assessing functional dependencies and identifying technical complexity prior to governance approval.
- Own the full closure sequence for all gated request types, including functional testing against delivery requirements, coordination of end-user validation, formal sign-off, and communication to the requestor.
- Co-present enhancement requests to the Product Backlog Review Council alongside the requestor, providing functional clarity and well-defined scope to support prioritization decisions.
- Partner with the DevOps Specialist on data model changes, reporting fixes, and integration enhancements, validating outputs across both the Planisware platform and associated data pipelines.
- Bring experience with enterprise project management or PPM platforms—ideally Planisware or comparable tools (e.g., Clarity, Workfront, SAP PS).
- Execute functional testing and coordinate end-user validation activities.
- Operate effectively within a post-go-live or run-state support environment.
- Demonstrate familiarity with tiered support models and ITSM concepts, including support queues and SLAs.
- Translate business requirements into delivery-ready user stories for technical teams.
- Identify and analyze business problems and requirements that drive organizational change.
- Develop business requirements that address both business challenges and opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure proposed solutions meet their needs and expectations.
- Work independently on high-complexity business analysis tasks, delivering outputs aligned with company standards.
- Gather, analyze, and document software specifications and business requirements through discussions, workshops, interviews, and refinement sessions.
- Decompose business needs into clear specifications, including user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Manage multiple tasks simultaneously, demonstrating strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Communicate complex or sensitive information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
- Influence and persuade stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
