Job Description
About the role:
The Corporate Account Director (CAD) - McKesson is responsible for ensuring product access to Takeda Oncology portfolio with GPOs and member practices in assigned accounts.
The individual will drive Takeda Oncology business in the critical segment of group purchasing organizations (GPO) and GPO-contracted oncology practices.
Responsibilities include strategic input based on expert level knowledge of the evolving market dynamics to evolve our strategy for the GPO channel and within assigned accounts. These responsibilities include coordination with internal stakeholders to elevate awareness of market trends and inform the evolution of strategies and tactics including contracting, access resource development, evaluation of GPO sponsorships and services to advance our business objectives.
The CAD will serve as the matrix lead for assigned McKesson accounts and will collaborate with internal stake holders to pull thru the strategies with internal and external customers across the network.
Success in this role will depend on establishing a clear account strategy to garner alignment and forge strategic partnerships with GPO leadership, internal Takeda Oncology leadership, and extended team members and working across Sales management, Marketing management, the Contract Working Group, and Commercial Operations. The individual will drive Takeda Oncology business in the critical segment of group purchasing organization (GPO)-contracted oncology practices.
How you will contribute:
Lead the development and execution of the account access strategy for assigned McKesson accounts in collaboration with a cross-functional team including PVA, DSAMs, sales, marketing, HEOR, medical and other stakeholders to achieve account objectives.
Ensure product access for our Oncology portfolio by leading the pull-through of Takeda contracts and value story with targeted accounts.
Inform contracting strategy evolution by bringing forward market insights that support the brand priorities and objectives
Actionable recommendations regarding best practices to achieve goals, execute strategy and inform priorities to Pricing Committee and Contract Sub Team
Lead communication strategy, development and implementation of McKesson specific initiatives for the McKesson accounts with internal stakeholders, including Sales, PVA and Marketing, to inform the organization around key accounts activity and results.
Partner with Insights & Analytics on dashboards, scorecards, and other reporting priorities for both customer-facing needs and internal meetings and stakeholder updates.
Develop and coach the McKesson matrix team with a high percentage of time on enabling development of strong and effective DSAM relationships with community practice leaders and internal Takeda Oncology stakeholders.
Lead matrix calls/meetings to develop, evolve and execute on McKesson account level plans in collaboration with DSAMs, Oncology Territory Managers (OTMs), Regional Business Directors (RBDs) and Area/National Sales Directors.
Gain access to key decision makers in DSAM accounts and GPOs, representing Takeda priorities and collecting feedback on contracting and the markets we are engaged in.
Track and communicate GPO performance, as well as key account performance trends relative to Takeda contracts with relevant internal stakeholders.
Attend key GPO events to demonstrate Takeda Oncology engagement with community practices, including but not limited to GPO National Meetings and large clinical meetings, such as the American Society of Hematology (ASH) Annual Meeting and/or the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Annual Meeting.
Integrate into, and build relationships with, key functional departments to ensure strategy execution and goal achievement, including but not limited to Sales, Marketing, Insights & Analytics and the Contract Working Group.
Work with PVA, as needed, during the creation and finalization of contract rosters.
Adhere to Takeda Ethics & Compliance guidelines at all times.
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business discipline
10 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical device industry
GPO contracting, Sales management or account management team leadership experience preferred
Experience influencing business partners in a matrix environment and across organizational boundaries
Expert level understanding of oncology market and the current trends impacting the GPO segment
Ability to communicate clearly with internal and external customers
Demonstrated ability to work independently, lead initiation and execution of projects, and participate as a team member will be critical to success in the role
Previous pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical device industry people management experience preferred
The successful candidate will be a credible, dynamic leader. He/she will be highly collaborative and extremely effective as a cross-functional communicator. TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
30-60% travel, including 6-10 weekend conferences

$174,500.00 - $274,230.00
The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
