THE OPPORTUNITY

This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving the development and execution of launches for multiple (~3) key growth assets across three prioritized therapy areas. It offers exceptional opportunities for career advancement and personal development within the organization. As the Regional Head of Neuroimmunology and Patient Devices for Plasma-Derived Therapies (PDTs) in Europe, Canada (EUCAN), and Growth Emerging Markets (GEM), you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the business.

  • You will have direct visibility and access to three senior executive leadership teams: the Global PDT Leadership Team, as well as the EUCAN and GEM Executive Leadership teams.
  • You will collaborate closely across functions with Global, Regional, and in-market teams, fostering strong partnerships across these regions.
  • Through a blend of strategic and executional leadership, you will manage a diverse portfolio of markets, providing global, regional, and in-market perspectives that will guide Takeda's business success.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will:

  • Develop, oversee, and drive the successful launch of key assets across multiple therapy areas: Neuroimmunology Asset Launch (short-term): Next Generation Asset Launch (mid-term) , Patient Infusion Device Launch.
  • Serve as the regional voice in global neuroimmunology and device launch strategy, aligning with asset strategies, brand plans, and geographical expansion.
  • Lead regional cross-functional launch taskforces, ensuring alignment and execution with Global Commercial and other teams.
  • Collaborate with Regional and in-market leaders to design workshops, prioritize strategies, and track franchise priorities for optimal execution.
  • Lead regional engagement in neuroimmunology congresses and interactions to strengthen global influence.
  • Maintain expertise in regional market trends and dynamics, ensuring alignment with brand strategies.
  • Drive region-specific initiatives with clear KPIs and engage senior stakeholders for seamless execution.

Required Education, Behavioural Competencies and Skills:

  • Extensive experience leading cross-functional teams within a specific market or region, driving business results in a senior leadership role (e.g., Business Unit Head or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including senior leadership, cross-functional teams, and external partners in a highly matrixed environment.
  • Strong track record of managing P&L, making strategic trade-offs in dynamic and competitive markets, and balancing short-term performance with long-term growth.
  • Proven ability to execute commercial strategies across various market models (e.g., direct sales, partnerships, distributor networks) while navigating diverse regulatory and operational environments.
  • Significant experience in launching products and executing asset strategies across multiple regions or markets, with a focus on market penetration, revenue growth, and alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Demonstrated success in expanding product reach and driving adoption through collaboration with cross-functional teams. Experience entering new therapeutic areas is highly desirable.
  • In-depth understanding of global healthcare markets, including regulatory, economic, and cultural factors.
  • Ability to develop and adapt business strategies to diverse market conditions and overcome challenges in highly regulated and evolving environments.
  • Excellent ability to convey complex ideas and strategies to diverse audiences, ensuring alignment and engagement across organizational levels.
