We are currently hiring for a Medical Communication Manager GI and Inflammation (all genders) on a permanent contract for our Swiss local office in Glattpark (Opfikon).

ROLE OBJECTIVE

The Medical Communication Manager will effectively communicate scientific data through various channels, build digital customer journeys, develop a strong scientific communication plan aligned with the medical plan and strategic business objectives, and drive innovative programs within the Therapeutic Area.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Leading and executing Medical Education and communication programs in collaboration with Field/Medical Advisors, ensuring strong alignment with medical strategy and effective delivery of educational/scientific content to HCPs.
  • Building Next Generation Customer Excellence (NGCE) programs, focusing on OCE communication and developing comprehensive customer journeys, including in-person and digital channels.
  • Implement innovative programs and initiatives within the Therapeutic Area to enhance scientific communication and education.
  • Oversee and execute processes to support educational and scientific initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key external stakeholders, including KOLs, researchers, and healthcare professionals, to ensure effective communication and education programs.
  • Author and oversee the development of scientific publications, ensuring high-quality and impactful dissemination of research and clinical data in close collaboration with the Medical Advisor.

Leadership

  • Leading development of a robust scientific communication plan that aligns with the medical strategy plan and strategic business objectives, ensuring cohesive and strategic dissemination of information by fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of communication strategies with broader cross-functional team.
  • Mentor and guide team members to enhance their capabilities in scientific communication and project management.
  • Act as ambassador for compliance, ethics, and Takeda-ism

SKILLS and Capabilities

Critical Skills/competencies

  • Completed studies in Pharmacy, Medicine, or a scientific field (preferably with a PhD)
  • Conversational level of German or French; very good conversational English
  • Professional experience within pharma or comparable, preferable Medical Affairs
  • A good understanding of scientific data, and their interpretation
  • Experience in managing the execution of educational or communication initiatives of advantage.
  • Experience working in a cross-functional and/or matrix environment
  • High level of agility as well as teamwork skills and enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration
  • High level of adaptability and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong focus on continuous improvement and driving innovative solutions.

  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Organizational Skills: High level of skills for managing the execution of multiple projects and initiatives effectively.
  • Strategic Alignment: Ability to align the scientific communication plan with medical and business strategic objectives.
