Job Description
- Oversite and strategy development for purchasing of human plasma for fractionation from third-party (non-Takeda) suppliers outside of the United States.
- Ensure appropriate management of suppliers to contractual terms.
- Ensure global adherence to Takeda standards for policies in scope.
- Coordinate operative alignment of plasma suppliers and key internal statekholder functions including BioLife EU Logistics, Plasma OpU, Quality, Regulatory, etc.
- Provide expertise and assistance in lobbying efforts, policy development, etc.
- Swiss Medic: Ensure compliance with licenses, laws and ordinances for Takeda Pharmaceuticals International AG (“TPIZ”).
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Identify plasma sourcing opportunities for non-US plasma to meet PDT strategic objectives.
- Negotiate plasma contracts and ensure contract compliance by Suppliers, internal compliance and storage, etc.
- Strong knowledge of plasma market conditions (Source & Recovered Plasma), pricing, suppliers, availability, competition, etc.
- Observe the policies, legislation & regulatory requirements in Europe and other region countries regarding plasma
- Support for QA Biolife EU – necessary support regarding audits (appointments, translations) and Supplier Notice of Change process; support of producers regarding achievement of compliance with Acceptance Criteria and GMP; basic control in plasma production facilities (e.g. plasma storage conditions).
- Prepare monthly supply forecasts and relevant volume and price information for financial planning cycles.

- Experience in a highly regulated blood/plasma industry (min. 5 years)
- Advanced presentation and communication skills

- Knowledge on Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
- Basic knowledge on regulations and polices (FDA, EMA, EDQM, etc.)
