We are currently seeking for a Commercial Lead GI (all genders) to be based in our CH local country organization in Zurich.

The Commercial Lead GI2 has the responsibility to maximize the use of Entyvio and prepare the launch of Zasocitinib across Switzerland. As a member of the GI/NS BU, works collaboratively with the Marketing, Medical, Access, and Patient/External Affairs teams to raise awareness of the impact of IBD, PSO, PSA. Educate the HCP community about the value and characteristics of the GI2 portfolio, and collaborate on initiatives designed to improve patient care and outcomes.

OBJECTIVES

  • Maximize the effective use of Entyvio across all eligible patients in Switzerland.
  • Lead the cross-functional launch of Zasocitinib (PSO), ensuring timely and impactful market entry.
  • Develop and execute the Entyvio brand and customer engagement strategy, in close collaboration with key internal stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key external stakeholders, including clinical experts, societies, and decision-makers.
  • Drive competitive readiness and differentiation by monitoring the market landscape, anticipating threats, and delivering compelling value communication for the GI2 portfolio.
  • Strengthen cross-country collaboration, working closely with MCE/CSEE and global brand teams to align strategies, share best practices, and enhance Switzerland’s impact.
  • Embed patient-centricity across all commercial strategies and initiatives, ensuring solutions reflect real patient needs and contribute to better outcomes.
  • Raise disease awareness (IBD, PSO) and co-create initiatives with Medical, Access, Patient Engagement, and External Affairs to improve care pathways.
  • Inspire, guide, and develop the GI2 marketing team, fostering performance, engagement, and professional growth
  • Contribute to Takeda’s Swiss LOC, CSEE, and global transformation objectives, leveraging data, digital tools, and innovation to enhance impact and efficiency.
  • Act as a role model of Takeda’s values and leadership principles, embracing the Hakushu behaviors (curiosity, agility, collaboration, proactivity), and upholding the highest standards of ethical and compliant conduct.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Deliver Commercial Impact: Achieve planned patient volume and sales growth for Entyvio and the GI2 portfolio across Switzerland.
  • Business Planning & Forecasting: Monitor market dynamics, business performance, and competitor trends. Lead supply forecasting and contribute actively to business planning cycles (e.g., MRP).
  • Brand Strategy & Execution – Entyvio: Lead the Integrated Franchise Team (IFT) in the development and execution of the Entyvio brand strategy and tactical plan, ensuring delivery within budget and OPEX targets.
  • Launch Preparation – Zasocitinib (PSO): Lead the cross-functional preparation for the launch of Zasocitinib in psoriasis, ensuring market readiness, stakeholder alignment, and successful execution of pre-launch and launch activities.
  • Strategic Prioritization & Performance Monitoring: Define strategic priorities and KPIs for the IBD and PSO portfolio, ensuring alignment with Swiss LOC objectives and ongoing tracking of performance.
  • People & Team Leadership: Drive cross-functional collaboration through integrated brand team governance and foster a high-performing, empowered team culture.
  • Partner of Choice: Collaborate closely with Medical and Patient Engagement teams to develop initiatives that improve patient care and outcomes in IBD and PSO, reinforcing Takeda’s position as a trusted partner.
  • Evidence Generation & Value Protection: Partner with Access and Medical to identify and implement initiatives that strengthen Entyvio’s and Zasocitinib’s value proposition and protect pricing and access
  • Partner with OCE (Omnichannel Customer Engagement), Insights & Analytics (I&A) and Customer engagement lead (CL)  to develop and roll out Next-Best-Action methodologies across all channels, embedding data-driven personalization into brand execution commercial excellence in projects such as “TODAI” and “Pre Call Planning”
  • Use insights and best practices from CSEE communities, MCE and other LOC teams to inform Swiss brand and engagement strategies, contributing to cross-market excellence and innovation sharing. Collaborate closely with them to design and implement lighthouse/flagship projects, bringing innovation into customer engagement strategies tailored to the Swiss market.

EDUCATION AND SKILLS 

  • Degree in business administration, medicine, or life sciences
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Brand, Marketing, or Product manager in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience in field/customer engagement roles (Sales Rep, KAM, Sales Manager, MSL) will be appreciated
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the therapeutic area of Psoriasis (PSO) and/or other dermatologic TA. Experience in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) or other immunological diseases involving specialty products (e.g., biologics marketed to specialists or hospitals) will be appreciated
  • Ability to lead and influence people and teams with and without formal authority.
  • Experience in launching products in mass markets with high competition
  • At least 3 years of experience in functional leadership of employees and cross-functional project teams, including collaboration with senior management.
  • High level of strategic and analytical thinking combined with solid business acumen
  • Data-driven decision-making: Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data to make informed decisions and drive business outcomes. 
  • Digital collaboration: Experience working effectively with colleagues in virtual or remote settings, utilizing digital collaboration tools, incl. MS Teams. 
  • Digital fluency: Proficiency in leveraging digital tools, platforms, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and other technologies (incl. MS Office suite) to communicate with impact and perform tasks efficiently and effectively. 
  • Learning and Innovation: Dedication to lead by example through intentional skill development, experimentation and fostering a culture of digital curiosity within the organization.
