Job Description
About the Role:
The Head of Process Improvement and Stewardship for Downstream Albumin & Aralast & Biologics is responsible for leading scientific and technical development, managing processes in purification, formulation, filling, and finishing. This role supports Takeda’s mission by optimizing manufacturing processes and ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance.
How You Will Contribute:
- Direct and manage a team of Manufacturing Scientists and Process Validation Specialists.
- Collaborate with site operations, including manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and quality, to ensure expertise in robust and stable processes.
- Drive the management of the Process Life Cycle, focusing on GMP Compliance, safety, and production targets.
- Control OPEX and CAPEX budgets within your area, ensuring cost efficiency and performance optimization.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders, presenting findings and recommendations to drive process excellence.
Skills and Qualifications:
- University degree in biotechnology, pharmaceutical sciences, or equivalent field.
- At least 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry with 5-8 years in leadership roles.
- Thorough understanding of GMP requirements, Six Sigma, and protein biochemistry.
- Experience with regulatory authorities (FDA, EMA) and proficiency in Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing principles.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- German language sills preferred, good level of English language skills is a must
As a leader (senior manager), you oversee a dedicated team, providing strategic guidance and mentoring. You manage projects, budgets, schedules, and engage with various stakeholders at multiple levels. Your leadership ensures the advancement of manufacturing excellence, driving continuous improvement and innovation in Takeda’s processes.
What Takeda can offer you:
A competitive remuneration package with a minimum salary of €5.538,85gross per month (full-time, collective wage agreement for the chemical industry) - the actual salary is higher, and depends on your professional experience and qualifications.
