About the Role

The role focuses on ensuring that employees’ queries are answered within the stipulated service level agreement and that employees’ payrolls are paid accurately and on time, with correct withholdings and deductions. This role supports Takeda’s mission by maintaining payroll records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with legislative obligations.

How You Will Contribute

  • Prepare for payroll, manage resource movements, and calculate overtime, shift payments, sales commissions, and bonuses.
  • Account for, distribute, and prepare taxes and deductions.
  • Maintain payroll records and prepare reports for management or legislative obligations.
  • Ensure payments comply with collective bargaining agreements, legislation, or other regulatory instruments.
  • Prepare and distribute pay information to employees.
  • Answer questions from employees and supervisors regarding payroll matters.
  • Provide assistance and training to lower-level employees.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Applies comprehensive knowledge of payroll systems to manage complex payroll tasks independently.
  • Ensures strict compliance with payroll-related laws, demonstrating a deep understanding of regulatory requirements.
  • Conducts detailed audits of payroll data, identifying discrepancies and implementing corrective actions.
  • Utilizes problem-solving skills to address and resolve payroll issues effectively.
  • Engages in strategic communications with internal and external stakeholders, handling sensitive information with diplomacy.
  • Manages multiple payroll activities simultaneously, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines effectively.
  • Maintains a high level of attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all payroll records and reports.

At this level, you will utilize your specialized skills to tackle complex tasks, often supporting an executive at a senior level. You will excel at identifying innovative solutions to administrative challenges and handling assignments that demand judgment and initiative. This position requires a deep understanding of job processes, procedures, and systems, typically accompanied by solid experience in a similar role. You will frequently engage in strategic communications, requiring skill and diplomacy, with contacts both within and outside the organization. Despite minimal supervision, you will work independently within established procedures and practices.
