Global Talent Acquisition (GTA) is seeking a Talent Acquisition Lead to join our organization in the India market. GTA is a newly formed function within Takeda Human Resources brought together to position Takeda’s future success by strengthening our Talent attraction and retention engine, while adopting best-in-class hiring practices. The ideal candidate will be a trusted advisor to our key stakeholders and have a deep understanding of talent market, talent acquisition practices, and tools to ensure full visibility to external trends.
OBJECTIVES & PURPOSE
As the Talent Acquisition Lead, India, you will be the primary point of contact for the India Business in the Global Portfolio Division (GPD), collaborating with regional Talent Acquisition leads in Growth and Emerging Markets (GEM) to drive India talent attraction and retention needs. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the success of Talent Acquisition initiatives within India for GPD. You will act as a strategic partner for key stakeholders, ensuring the recruitment and retention of top-tier talent is intricately aligned with India Local Operating Company (LOC)’s overarching business imperatives.
This position will ensure that regional India talent acquisition processes, programs, and policies, in partnership with the TA Enablement team, are aligned to global programs and processes. The TA Lead champions continuous process improvement to drive best-in-class hiring results, specifically in implementing ways to simplify, standardize & clarify the hiring processes and stakeholder roles & responsibilities to drive agility & consistency across India
This role will serve as a member of the APAC Talent Acquisition community of Practice and is accountable for leading the RPO partnership and service delivery model, responsible for end-to-end recruiting meets the business needs. Additionally, in partnership with Employer Branding, the position is responsible for implementing Takeda’s global brand, employee value proposition, and business talent strategy to support the attraction and retention of talent for India. This includes leveraging technology to create a better experience for all stakeholders involved with TA
The role is based in Mumbai, India, and will report to the Head of Talent Acquisition for GPD.
Global Portfolio Division (GPD) is a business division within Takeda, built to position Takeda’s future success by growing our global brands as well as supporting continued growth of our late- stage pipeline and driving best-in-class launches. Made up of over 12,000 employees across 77 countries and based in three main regions: Europe & Canada (EUCAN), Growth and Emerging Markets (GEM), and China. Additionally, GPD includes 4 global organizations: Vaccines BU, Global Portfolio & Launch Strategy, Global Medical, and Marketing & Commercial Excellence as well as business partner functions.

GEM as part of GPD aims to be seen as a Talent Magnet across all markets and Talent Acquisition is a critical partner in ensuring we are successful. India is one of the key and growing markets in GEM.
The role will be responsible for the below:
• Leads talent attraction to Takeda by elevating the capabilities of the Talent Acquisition team as data-driven, strategic advisors for the business with a deep understanding of the external market, high business acumen & an aptitude for process excellence.
• Enables hiring managers and HR business partners with scientific hiring methods, understanding the TA operating model, the external market, and their roles so as to be well versed in the hiring process and equipped to make solid hiring decisions.
• Strengthens the Takeda brand in the region for targeted personas with critical capabilities & enhances candidate engagement and conversion
• Collaborates effectively with Global Talent Acquisition teams to leverage TA services in executive search capabilities, talent intelligence, employer branding, process optimization and TA technologies, etc.
• Drives adoption of Data, Digital & Technology usage throughout the hiring process to enhance agility and improve stakeholders experiences
• The TA Lead strengthens strategic workforce planning by collaborating with the business and HR stakeholders to build hiring forecasts to proactively identify & plan for our future hiring & agile resourcing needs
• Manages the full Talent Acquisition life cycle to include sourcing, talent mapping, interview feedback/consultation, pre-offer, through to offer negotiation. Manages process feedback loops and provides continuous improvements.
• The TA Lead leads the hiring, development and retention of both in-house and / or RPO members of the Talent Acquisition team.
• Ensures teams are properly resourced and staffed in preparation for future hiring needs
• The role has responsibility for the full recruitment lifecycle from planning through to onboarding of new hires.
• Plays a key role in leading initiatives as appropriate including any Diversity & Inclusion, Employee Referrals, Alumni, Systems & Tools, Employer Branding, Onboarding, Management Reporting, Process Improvement initiatives, or other recruiting project related work.
• Creates an environment that inspires and enables the Talent Acquisition team to deliver on business priorities

EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS
Preferred experience of >7 years in talent acquisition including a demonstrated record in leading small recruiting teams.
Proven ability and experience in effectively interacting with and influencing senior level HR and business/function leaders to establish trust and credibility.
Strong experience in working across functions and in different cultures in high level complex environment.
Strong experience and influencing skills in a matrix organization.
Experience of managing and / or working within both in house and RPO environments.
Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus
Strong knowledge of the recruitment environment in India.
Experience with developing and implementing new strategies to address the competitive hiring market, complex business issues, and demonstrated history of building trust to achieve results.
The ability to drive for consistency whilst at the same time being able to flex into localized solutions where necessary.
A strategic mindset and business focus.
Ability to inspire and motivate a high performing team.
Creates a clear and unifying vision that inspires the team to excel.
Understands compensation principles and has experience communicating key offers.
Fluent in English, other additional languages as per the region to cover.
Graduate with a degree, ideally in Human Resources or Business, and with an MBA from a reputable institution or university is a plus.
