Job Description

The Medical Affairs Trainee r is a position for providing support to the medical activities for a concrete Therapeutic Area (TA). This role focuses primarily on providing administrative and technical support to the Therapeutic Area Manager. Furthermore, the job holder will provide scientific, medical and educational support to healthcare professionals (HCPs) and colleagues in the assigned therapeutic area always with the supervision of the Therapeutic Area Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support the TAL of the different TAs in managing contracts and administrative tasks for getting the corresponding internal and external approvals/authorizations for local studies (in collaboration with the Local Clinical Operations Specialist) and medical activities (in collaboration with Medical Affairs specialist).

- Collaborate in the development of scientific materials and presentations to be used by in field positions (MSLs)

- Keep up to date with clinical knowledge, published data and trial work for company products, including occasional attendance at scientific meetings and conferences.

- Ensure medical activities always fulfil with local regulations and Takeda procedures in collaboration with the Medical Affairs Specialist.

- Keep activities tracking records up to date.

- Collaborate with the TAM in the review of promotional materials ensuring the accomplishment of Takeda SOPs and Spanish Legislation.

- Use specific disease and product knowledge to support to the generation of training materials to be used internally by the TAM and MSLs.

- Collaborates with Therapeutic Area Manager and MSLs in the tracking and accomplishment of Individual Action Plans with selected KOLs.

- Alignment with Takeda Project teams (e.g. brand teams, other central office functions and corporate teams) to ensure alignment of field based medical activities with central plans (i.e. Global Action Plans communicated by Scientific Manager)

- Collaborate in the compilation and processing of KOL insights to support in-house analytics and business development.

- Act according to Corporate, Compliance, Ethical codes and Legal standards

-Promotes, encourage and demonstrate commitment to Takeda-ism philosophy and values.

- Communicate to pharmacovigilance department any adverse reaction at the time of becoming aware of it, following company’s internal procedures.

- Promote, encourage and demonstrate commitment to Takeda-ism philosophy and values

- Communicate any adverse reaction as soon as it is identified to the Pharmacovigilance

- Department as detailed in the company’s internal procedures

- Act according to Corporate, Compliance, Ethical codes and Legal standards.

Education, Experience & Skills:

- University Degree in Medical or Health Sciences

- Fluent written and spoken English (mandatory)

- Master degree related with Medical affairs or similar (Desirable)

 Minimum experience 1 years working experience in role with similar complexity

 Experience in the Pharma industry is an advantage

 Previous experience in pharmaceutical industry is valued

 Communication and strong interpersonal skills

 Demonstrable thirst for knowledge (technical, clinical, medical, scientific) with an ability to assimilate information quickly, present clinical data clearly and concisely and discuss the statistical and clinical relevance in line with key messages

 Experience of working in a matrix management environment is valued

 Passionate and self-confident

 IT skills in particularly competent with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

 Experienced in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

 Ability to drive or fly to attend meetings, audits, and training
