MARKET ACCESS MANAGER

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Market Access Manager with strong expertise in market access within the pharmaceutical industry. The successful candidate will bring experience working in complex, matrixed organizations and a proven track record of leading key initiatives across Business Units.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop, align, and implement market access strategies in collaboration with cross-functional teams

  • Conduct advanced market research and lead complex analytical studies

  • Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the drug value proposition is clearly understood and recognized

  • Lead cross-functional project teams, offering guidance and mentorship on market access strategies

  • Negotiate contracts and represent the organization in project-related matters with senior external stakeholders

  • Design and implement institutional projects aligned with organizational priorities and strategic objectives

  • Act as the Market Access department representative within Business Units, ensuring alignment and integration of key initiatives

  • Analyze competitive intelligence, providing strategic insights and managing complex data and scenarios

  • Lead and support commercialization efforts, advising stakeholders and anticipating market requirements for innovative and novel products

  • Monitor the performance of Value-Based Contracts (VBC) and other access offers

  • Report performance metrics in a timely and accurate manner to Local Operating Company (LOC) stakeholders and EUCAN roles

  • Liaise with Global / Regional Pricing & Value Access (PVA) roles

  • Monitor commercial policy and prepare, present, and defend price exception cases with the PVA Region

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Health Economics, Life Sciences, or a related field

  • Master’s degree or MBA preferred

  • Strong English proficiency, due to frequent and ongoing interaction with global and regional teams

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in market access, pricing, reimbursement, or related roles within the pharmaceutical industry

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical capabilities, including advanced economic evaluation, research, and data analysis

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence diverse stakeholders

  • Proven experience in developing and executing complex market access strategies

  • AI & Digital Capability: Ability to leverage AI and digital tools for analytics, forecasting, segmentation, tender intelligence, and value communication; actively promote digital adoption and build market access capabilities within cross-functional teams

  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with experience leading and mentoring project teams in a collaborative environment

  • Strong cross-functional mindset, with the ability to represent the Market Access function effectively within Business Units

  • Solid understanding of national and international healthcare systems, pricing, and reimbursement mechanisms

  • Ability to design and implement projects aligned with business objectives and evolving market needs
