Job Description
Join Takeda as Associate Director, Patient Access Process Optimization out of Lexington, MA office. We are seeking an Associate Director of Patient Access Process Optimization with six sigma experience to bring complex, cross-functional Patient Access process optimization initiatives to fruition, as well as proactively identify areas for patient journey process optimization and implementation. This role requires proven experience managing large-scale programs with a focus on operational excellence. The ideal candidate appreciates that this is in service of accelerating a patient’s speed to therapy, as well as enhancing the patient, provider, and employee experience
How you will contribute:
- Lead complex, cross-functional Patient Access process optimization initiatives from initiation through completion, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and within budget
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, risk, communications, change management implications and resource allocation
- Develop a deep understanding of each patient’s journey and proactively identify opportunities to drive process improvement using Six Sigma and Lean tools to increase efficiency without compromising the patient, HCP or employee experience
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align project objectives with organizational strategy and deliver measurable outcome
- Act as a change agent across Patient Access, influencing stakeholders to adopt best practices and continuous improvement through purposeful, consistent communication
- Oversee project financials and performance monitoring; ensure transparency in progress and alignment with business goals
- Champion Takeda’s values and foster a culture of inclusion, innovation, and high performance
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, business, or a related field required
- Minimum 10 years of process optimization experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences industry required
- Minimum 4 years in a Six Sigma role with a Black Belt credential required
- Demonstrated success managing complex, cross-functional projects with diverse stakeholder groups required
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and influencing skills across all organizational levels required
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making abilities required
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent experience preferred

USA - MA - Hayden - 45-55U.S. Base Salary Range:
$153,600.00 - $241,340.00
The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
