Job Description
The PMO and Business Strategy Team provides strategy development, planning, and project execution support to the MA Bio Ops Site.
The Portfolio Lead is tasked with ensuring that site PMO programs are in line with the site's strategies. This position involves outlining site program roadmaps and managing local execution to make sure that site-specific initiatives are carried out in alignment with the company's overall objectives. The Portfolio Lead collaborates with cross-functional teams, builds relationships with stakeholders, and ensures that site programs have set timelines and deliver their intended value. This role supports intricate interconnected programs that deliver capabilities for site strategic goals. It requires strong leadership skills, comprehension of network business needs, and the ability to navigate complex, interrelated site programs. The Portfolio Lead serves as the main point of contact for key stakeholders, define program timelines, program value capture, and reporting performance to leadership.
How You Will Contribute:
- Lead/support the development of program plans that align with the Site strategic vision.
- Define program objectives, success metrics, and milestones with a focus on accelerating implementation timelines to support global product demand forecasts.
- Lead or support project teams in defining program strategies and goals, and assigns/manages project tasks as applicable to meet overall program timelines.
- Works with cross-functional departments including, but not limited to, Supply Chain, QA, QC, Pharmaceutical Sciences, MFG, Engineering, and Finance to ensure program deliverables are aligned across functions.
- Function as the key liaison between site-based teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment across all levels of the organization.
- Develop and present program performance reports to senior leadership, highlighting successes, challenges, and future opportunities.
- Facilitate regular communication with leadership, providing updates on program progress, risks, and strategic insights.
- Organizes, facilitates, and documents program meetings.
- Develops and maintains program schedules, timelines, milestones, and performance reports.
- Provides routine status reports and/or escalations as needed communicating project progress, risks / problems, and solutions.
- Anticipates functional resource requirements and gains commitment from functional stakeholders for resource participation on key initiatives.
Internship Development Opportunities:
- The Portfolio Lead role offers key development opportunities by leading and supporting program plans that align with the site's strategic vision. Working this capacity the person will gain skills in defining objectives, success metrics, and milestones, and working with cross-functional departments to ensure alignment.
- The role also develops presentation and communication skill through presentations to senior leadership, facilitating regular communication, and organizing program meetings. Additionally, the Portfolio Lead will work on diverse and complex projects, developing decision-making capabilities in a business environment.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering or Science, or actively pursuing a degree in these fields.
- PMP certification is desirable.
- Demonstrates ability to be nimble, maintain a positive outlook, and remain composed under pressure.
- Ability to bridge technical and business disciplines via excellent oral and written communication.
- Proven organizational / time management skills and ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional and matrixed team environment.
- Proven ability to analyze and organize information logically.
- Experience with troubleshooting / problem solving and risk assessment / mitigation.
- Comfortable making risk-based recommendations based on science, data, or relevant experience.
- Ability to provide strategy, direction, and leadership including workload planning, prioritization, organization, and coordination for program team.
- Excellent team management and presentation skills. Ability to communicate to senior management through written and verbal communications.

Internship Eligibility
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship
- Must be currently enrolled in a degree program graduating December 2025 or later
- The internship program is 10-12 weeks depending on the two start dates (June 2nd- August 29th) or (June 16th - August 22nd
- The intern must be able to commit to one of these time frames
- Able to work full time 40 hours a week during internship dates
- Takeda does not provide a housing stipend or relocation support for the U.S Summer Internship Program

Lexington, MAU.S. Hourly Wage Range:
$21.00 - $46.00
The estimated hourly range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual hourly wage offered will depend on the candidate’s school year/level to be entered following completion of internship.The actual hourly wage offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. internship benefits vary by location and may include:
Paid sick time

Commuter Benefit: To offset your work-commute expenses, Takeda provides U.S. employees with a fixed monthly subsidy to be used for either public transportation (transit) or parking.
