Job Description
About the Role:
Join our dynamic team as a Purification Engineer, where you’ll play a vital role within the Purification Engineering structure. This position offers the opportunity to make impactful contributions to cutting-edge purification processes essential to our operations.
As a Purification Engineer, you’ll specialize in both mechanical systems and automation, responsible for the design and functional specification of advanced purification systems. These systems include a diverse range of processes, such as:
- Buffer preparationin process vessels
- Fluid transfersbetween vessels, through filters, chromatographic columns, nanofiltration skids, and ultrafiltration skids
- Equipment cleaning(Clean-in-Place and Clean-out-of-Place for smaller equipment)
- Final filtrationinto sterile mobile vessels
Your expertise will be integral to optimizing purification workflows and ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about engineering and innovation in purification systems!
How you will contribute:
- Design, install/modify, commissioning and qualification of systems according to EHS, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and GEP (Good Engineering Practices) requirements;
- Support day-to-day requests from maintenance and production, active participation in daily operational meetings with actions follow-up
- Continuously improve process and equipment
- Manage modifications of equipment without assistance, or be integrated in larger projects teams. In particular, the position implies such as basic Design and support for project spending forecast, detailed design of new or modified systems, tenders writing, following of construction/coding, and start-up of equipment and writing and execution of validation packages.
- Be on the floor to understand and analyze problematic.
- Recommend efficient improvement to minimize production down time and increase quality.
- Perform troubleshooting support of maintenance and production
Act as a technical leader, coordinating technical activities of up to 3 engineers.
Collaborative and proactive member inside a multi-disciplinary team.
Leads benchmark and innovative ideas, propose innovation long term plan.
What you bring to Takeda :
- Master degree in Mechanics or process engineering: (Or Bachelor degree+ Exp.)
- Engineer with at least 3 years of experience.
- Understand technical installations, equipment and systems used on the site.
- Able to be a technical leader inside project development, investigations and routine problematics.
- Familiar with technical & quality documentation according to GxP.
- Good communication skills and the ability to lead and perform effectively in multi-disciplinary teams
- Must have the ability to effectively participate to Engineering projects, coordinate suppliers, and drive results.
- Experience with Quality Systems and Processes in a GMP regulated and FDA licensed manufacturing site.
- Experienced with Purification or clean piping processes
- Fluent in French
- B2 level in English

Important Considerations:
At Takeda, our patients rely on us to create quality products, and we aim to create a safe environment for our team members. As a result, we must follow strict rules in our manufacturing facilities to ensure we are not endangering the quality of the product or putting anyone at the site in harm's way. In this role, you may:
- Work in a controlled environment requiring special gowning and wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet and body. This may include additional hearing protection for loud areas.
- Need to remove all make-up, jewellery, contact lenses, nail polish and/or artificial fingernails while in the manufacturing environment.
- Work in a cold, hot environment and load manual handling.
- Work multiple shifts, including weekends, or be asked to work supplemental hours, as necessary.
- Work around chemicals and biologicals products that may require specific protection (respiratory, skin, etc.).
