The Opportunity

As a Platform Architect focusing on Hybrid Cloud, Azure, and Generative AI at Takeda, you will be recognized within IT and Takeda as an Azure and GenAI platform expert for design and development and you will enable application owners/product teams to utilize Azure cloud platform and Generative AI workloads effectively. You will be developing and adopting Azure-focused cloud solution architectures that align with Takeda’s architecture principles, best practices, and business needs.

Responsibilities

• Be the go-to person for any infrastructure architectural design for Azure cloud platform solutions and reference design models.

• Innovate and experiment with new Azure and Gen AI services by designing and implementing Proof of Concepts (POCs).

• Contribute to Takeda’s cloud strategy through the development of Azure-specific policies, standards, guidelines, and reference materials.

• Lead the continuous improvement of Azure cloud capabilities including governance, service mo-dels, and operating models.

• Develop comprehensive Azure hybrid cloud strategy roadmaps that align with the company’s goals and future needs.

• Define and drive Azure cloud solution architectures that ensure scalability, reliability, and security.

• Innovate and experiment with new hybrid cloud services by designing and implementing Proof of Concepts (POCs).

• Develop comprehensive hybrid cloud strategy roadmaps that align with the company’s goals and future needs.

• Define and drive hybrid cloud solution architectures that ensure scalability, reliability, and security.

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams to foster a culture of innovation and excellence.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and business units, to understand their requirements and incorporate them into cloud services and architecture standards.

• Establish and enforce hybrid cloud best practices in design, implementation, and governance.

• Lead the integration of hybrid cloud environments, ensuring optimized performance and cost management.

• Utilize cloud-native monitoring services like CloudWatch and CloudTrail and integrate them with enterprise telemetry tools like Splunk.

Skills and Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

• 7+ years of experience spanning multiple IT disciplines including technical architecture, networking, DevOps, middleware, database management, or operations.

• 7+ years of experience with hybrid cloud environments, with Azure as primary public cloud( Aws desired) 

• 1+ years of experience with configuration and deployment of Azure based services

• 2+ years of experience with infrastructure automation (Infrastructure as Code, configuration management).

• Demonstrated experience with IT service management integrations.

• Strong knowledge of hybrid cloud security principles and best practices.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work on complex projects.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience as a team lead is strongly preferred.

• Relevant Azure certifications are desired.

• Experience working in a life sciences environment and/or familiarity with Takeda is desired.

Preferred: 

• Ability to drive continuous improvement and experience working with change management or internal communications teams.

• Experience working with virtual/Agile teams in different locations, aligning and adapting different work, culture, and communication styles.

• Experience with designing and development of pharmaceutical life science products

Salary

As a motivated employee, you should be compensated appropriately. The minimum salary for this position is €4400 per month (full time), but your final remuneration package may be higher depending on your qualifications and experience.
