About the role:

As a Tech Lead and Architect in the Lookback Notification System (LNS) space within the Plasma-Derived Therapies (PDT) business unit, you will lead the development and enhancement of Salesforce platform and designing and implementing scalable and robust solutions on the Salesforce platform.

This role requires a strong technical background, leadership abilities, and a strategic mindset to drive the project to success. You will establish and enforce best practices, lead the delivery of scalable and secure solutions, and ensure that the execution aligns with critical project/business objectives. You will also be instrumental in fostering a culture of technical and engineering proficiency, mentoring a team of software developers and data engineers.

Collaborating closely with business stakeholders and global leadership, you will ensure that the team’s efforts enhance business capabilities and drive forward the strategic goals of PDT as well as Takeda. Your leadership will be key in advancing the technology landscape to support the evolving needs of the global marketplace.

This position will align to External Experience of the ICC, and you will report to the PDT Delivery Lead for strategic direction as well as day-to-day management within Takeda ICC, post which the reporting and managerial responsibilities will be transitioned accordingly.

How you will contribute:

  • Responsible for designing, solutioning, and planning the execution of projects
  • Oversee broader teams covering multiple projects to ensure cohesive progress
  • Effectively communicate project status, challenges, and milestones to key stakeholders, ensuring adherence to timelines
  • Design and implement custom Salesforce solutions using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, and Salesforce APIs to meet business requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and document technical specifications [Jira] and ensure alignment with business needs.
  • Perform code reviews, enforce coding standards, and ensure the highest quality and adherence to best practices for development, testing, and deployment
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex issues within the Salesforce ecosystem.
  • Mentor junior developers and collaborate closely with the Salesforce Architect to drive best practices in development.
  • Design and architect scalable and high-performance Salesforce solutions, including custom applications, integrations, ands standard salesforce configurations.
  • Lead the technical design and decision-making process for Salesforce implementations, ensuring that architecture aligns with business goals and technical best practices.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a similar field required. Master's degree in a similar field would be a plus
  • 8-10 years of experience in Salesforce development and customization as well as Salesforce architecture, including data modeling, security, and integration best practices.
  • Hands-on experience integrating Salesforce with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs and middleware tools, including platforms like MuleSoft, Informatica, and other integration solutions.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce data model, security model, and best practices for application design.
  • Experience with Salesforce development tools and Salesforce Clouds like (Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, Health Cloud etc.).
  • Strong experience in Salesforce development, including lifecycle, Apex, Visualforce, LWC, and Salesforce APIs.
  • Stay up to date with Salesforce platform updates, releases, and new features including the OOTB features.
  • Should be familiar with integration tools (Okta, MuleSoft, Informatica etc.), DevOps practices and pipelines for Salesforce.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically about complex issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Ability to manage and propose proper technology choices to determine what technology and methods can be combined for the optimal result in an ever-changing product landscape.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).

Preferred requirements:

  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II certification.
  • Knowledge of other technologies such as JavaScript, Node.js, or other cloud platforms.
  • Knowledge of platforms such as Amazone S3, ODS is a plus.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and practices for Salesforce.
  • Experience with third-party Salesforce packages and AppExchange solutions.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce Einstein, AI/ML capabilities, or other advanced features.
