About the role:

As a Technical Lead and Program Manager in the Donor Information System (DIS) space within the Plasma-Derived Therapies (PDT) business unit, you will lead the strategic planning, development and enhancement of web applications using Angular, .NET Framework and .NET Core, as well as spearhead the modernization of scheduler jobs into an event-based real-time architecture. Your role will be pivotal in driving innovation and operational excellence including day to day delivery and requires a strong technical background, leadership abilities, and a strategic mindset to drive the project to success. You will establish and enforce best practices, lead the delivery of scalable and secure solutions, and ensure that the execution aligns with critical project/business objectives. You will also be instrumental in fostering a culture of technical and engineering proficiency, mentoring a team of software developers and data engineers. Collaborating closely with business stakeholders and global leadership, you will ensure that the team’s efforts enhance business capabilities and drive forward the strategic goals of PDT as well as Takeda. Your leadership will be key in advancing the technology landscape to support the evolving needs of the global marketplace.

This position will align to the ICC and report to the PDT Delivery Lead for strategic direction as well as day-to-day management.

How you will contribute:

• Lead and manage cross-functional teams spanning different role types and own end to end delivery.
• Establish and nurture a positive team culture.
• Drive innovative thinking and identify opportunities for process improvements and new methodologies
• Oversee the development and enhancement of web applications, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
• Design and implement robust, scalable, and maintainable architectures for web applications and event-based jobs and task scheduler.
• Conduct regular code reviews to ensure code quality, performance, and security.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other stakeholders, to align technical solutions with business goals.
• Deliver robust solutions by following the product development lifecycle from requirement gathering to production deployments and hypercare.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for all development processes, including architecture discussions, design, and code reviews.
• Optimize application performance and ensure scalability.
• Identify and resolve issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
• Work closely with business and IT teams to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and availability across different systems.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in technologies, recommending new tools and techniques to enhance capabilities.
• Lead discovery workshops with stakeholders from different product teams.
• Oversee projects from conception to deployment, managing timelines, resources, and risks effectively.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a similar field required. Master's degree in a similar field would be a plus
• 10-14 years of professional experience in full stack development with a focus on .NET Core and C# language.
• Hands-on experience with Monitoring‑Driven Development (MDD) and Test‑Driven Development (TDD), ensuring proactive observability and high-quality, test-first engineering practices.
• Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proven experience in leading and mentoring development teams.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and hands-on experience with Microservices, Dotnet core and AWS services.
• Exposure in front-end development technologies such as HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and frameworks like Angular/ Angular JS or React.
• Experience with DevSecOps and secure SDLC practices, including hands-on use of SonaType, JFROG, DAST, SonarCloud, and CodeQL for dependency scanning, vulnerability detection, and code quality enforcement.
• Proficiency with Git or other version control tools.
• Solid understanding of relational databases and experience with SQL.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically about complex issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
• Ability to manage and propose proper technology choices to determine what technology and methods can be combined for the optimal result in an ever-changing product landscape.
• Understanding applicable regulatory compliance requirements surrounding PHI, PII, and GxP.

Preferred requirements:

• Understanding event-based real-time architectures and technologies such as Kafka, AWS SQS, or Lambda functions.
• Experience with project management tools like Jira.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to enhance productivity, code quality, and developer efficiency.
• Understanding of legacy technologies (VB6/VB.NET) is an advantage.
