Job Description

Takeda is embarking on a multi-year transformation program where migrating the current SAP platform to S/4HANA will serve as a foundational enabler. This role will be instrumental in maximizing success and benefits. The purpose of the role is as follows.

Reporting directly to the Takami Transformation Office Lead, this role provides strategic leadership and direction for Takeda’s enterprise-wide SAP S/4HANA data transformation and migration journey. As a critical driver of Takeda’s multi-year transformation, this role is accountable for architecting and executing a robust roadmap for the migration of complex business data from SAP ECC and legacy applications to the future-ready S/4HANA platform.

The role serves as the chief architect and advocate for data excellence throughout the migration journey—ensuring all data transformation and transfer activities are conducted with uncompromising quality, timeliness, and full compliance to Takeda’s standards and regulatory requirements.

A pivotal aspect of this role is aligning and influencing cross-functional stakeholders—including global and local Data Stewards, Data Owners, ERP Delivery, Global Process Owners, and Business Transformation leaders—towards a unified vision for data readiness, de-risking data transformation and migration milestones, and maximizing organizational value and business outcomes.

Lead Cross-Functional Stakeholder Alignment
Forge strong partnerships, influence, and coordinate global/local Data Stewards, Data Owners, ERP Delivery, GPOs, and Business Transformation leaders towards a unified approach.

Ensure Data Excellence and Compliance
Safeguard the highest standards of data quality, accuracy, and completeness, while rigorously ensuring compliance with Takeda’s policies, global regulations, and industry best practices.

Drive Risk Management and Issue Resolution
Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with data transformation and migration, serving as the senior escalation point for critical issues.

Enable Data Readiness for Business Transformation
Ensure data is fit for operational, analytical, and regulatory needs—supporting successful business transition, S/4HANA enablement, and ongoing process optimization.

Monitor and Report Program Progress
Establish performance metrics, track migration activities, and communicate progress, milestones, and impact to executive leadership and relevant governance bodies.
