Job Description

The Head of E&C, Nordics is a Leadership Team and People Leader role.
- As a Takeda Leader, the Head of E&C, Nordics is a member of the Nordics MCO Leadership Team responsible for leading the business in alignment with our Values of Takeda-ism (Integrity, Fairness, Honesty, and Perseverance) and ensuring decisions and actions are based on Patient-Trust-Reputation-Business (“PTRB”), in that order.
- As a member of the Global Ethics & Compliance Team, the Head of E&C, Nordics is responsible for ensuring effective implementation of the Takeda Ethics & Compliance strategy across the Nordics (including, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Iceland), including:
- Catalyzing a Values-Based Culture and shaping the organizational mindset around the PTRB to firmly embed ethical decision-making principles
- Educating and enabling the team (e.g., through Policy and SOP implementation, Training and Communications)
- Managing risk by supporting identification, assessing likelihood and impact, facilitating risk tolerance decisions, approving mitigation plans for high-risk activities and executing the monitoring
- Handling issues that arise (e.g., from audits or complaints), conducting investigations and ensuring remediations are well implemented
- Representing Takeda externally by participating in relevant local industry association meetings and initiatives
- The Head of E&C, Nordics is responsible for managing the Nordics E&C team and ensuring appropriate E&C coverage for the Nordics.

- Familiar with key laws, regulations and industry standards (e.g., Bribery and Corruption, Privacy, Sanctions, Anti-trust, Promotional Compliance, Human Rights, Third-Party Risk Management)
- Familiar with the EFPIA and Local Country Codes
- Understands key culture concepts: values-based decision making, psychological safety, speak up
- Understands the core elements of an effective compliance program and the latest regulatory / enforcement agency guidance
- Understands principles of risk management and Ethics & Compliance implications and risks in a pharma context
- Understanding Takeda Business and the Pharma context (e.g., product life cycles, go-to-market models, access, distribution, real-world evidence, etc)

EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
Preferred experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, advanced degree preferred
- Healthcare or pharmaceutical industry experience
- Designed, translated or implemented Ethics & Compliance programs
- Leadership experience (i.e., a member of a leadership team)
- Risk management experience (i.e., leading a cross-functional team to manage risks: identify, assess and define mitigations)
- Extensive people management and talent development experience
- Experience leading multi-functional, multi-cultural teams and working in different countries with a proven ability to lead through influence.
- English language fluency (written and oral)
