About the role:

The Associate Director Data, Digital and Technology is responsible for setting and executing the strategy for data, digital, and technology initiatives within the business unit. This role ensures alignment between business needs and technological solutions, driving efficiency and innovation to support Takeda's mission.

How will you Contribute:

  • Provide direct supervision including mentoring, performance management and staffing decisions for a team or multiple teams.

  • Engage in strategic initiatives, planning process and making digital technology recommendations to increase operational value.

  • Lead the development & maintenance of the OpU’s DD&T Strategy for Bray. Responsible for translating the strategy into a Digital Roadmap with short- and long-term goals and deliverables. Support all DD&T transformational initiatives and apply to existing priorities. 

  • Determine and manage priorities, timelines and schedules. Ability to communicate priorities driven from global DD&T to plant level senior leadership.

  • Maintain and manage a compliant GxP environment. Review team deliverables to ensure quality (design walk-through, test results, etc.) and adherence to processes, standards, and regulatory requirements. Participate in all internal and external audits and provide services in a timely manner

  • Foster a collaborative environment for mentoring, learning, and innovation to help develop employees with digital reskilling opportunities.

  • Create and manage both Capital and Operational budgets and ensure value realization plus financial accuracy. 

  • Knowledge of application development, implementations, and end user experience. Participate in infrastructure decisions and ensure adherence to global corporate standards.

  • Develop, gather, and measure relevant productivity metrics. Create operational mechanisms to ensure a stable operating environment.

  • Manage or participate on projects as required

  • Develop the members of the DD&T team to build a robust succession pipeline.

  • Responsibility to adhere to any applicable EHS requirements.

  • Demonstrate solid technical knowledge, demonstrate strong business knowledge, require limited direction, give significant direction, handle highly complex problems, possess extensive knowledge of policies, standards and procedures.

What you bring to Takeda:

  • Bachelor's degree in Management or Technology related field preferred. 

  • 10+ years of technology system experience, including 4+ years of leadership. 

  • Must have experience with software application implementations; cloud preferred

  • Experience in Data & Digital platforms technology preferred.

  • Knowledge with network infrastructure including technology stacks within a plant environment and know how to ensure proper GxP compliance within the infrastructure environment. 

  • Knowledge of strategic digital technologies (e.g. Data Analytic & Visualization platform, Robotic Process Automation, Augmented/Virtual/Mixed Reality) preferred.

  • Good awareness of the current Digital trends.

  • Knowledge of Lean operational techniques preferred. 

  • Must be able to communicate to senior level executives; individual must ensure engagement with Plant leadership team. 

  • Must be able to participate in the strategy and objective alignments with the operational leadership. 

  • Must have collaborative work skills to partner with global portfolios and implement new initiatives. 

  • Must create and track key performance indicators to ensure alignment with plant and global functions. 

  • Developing staff: the ability to have staff involved with six sigma and global projects. 

  • Strives to drive the business forward and looks for practical and compliant solutions to issues. 

  • Understands total potential impact and contributes significantly to the solution of simple or complex issues that arise. 

  • Expected to work with a number of suppliers / products. 

  • Uses experience to facilitate troubleshooting and tackle non-routine work and projects independently. 

  • Offers constructive comments and proposes improvements and rationalizations to systems, policies and procedures. 

  • Ability to manage complex projects and timelines in a matrix team environment.
