Job Description
Job Title: Medical Specialist
Location: Taiwan
About the role:
Responsible for business objectives for oncology BU products in the North area. Medical Specialist is a key link between the company and healthcare professionals (HCPs).
The key role of Medical Specialist is to work strategically and innovatively to increase the awareness and use of Oncology BU products and achieve business objectives.
He/she must excel in cross-functional teams’ collaboration and be able to provide territory insights and competitive intelligence. This individual is responsible for implementing strategic marketing tactics and activities in the responsible territories, identifying patients’ unmet medical needs as well as treatment options by keeping scientific-based engagements with HCPs and key decision makers.
How you will contribute:
Expand treatment coverage and ensure achievement of business objectives in responsible territories
Implement activities based on marketing plan to drive brand awareness and usage.
Make presentations and organize high standard scientific events for healthcare professionals, as well as working with contacts on a one-to-one basis to deliver product messages.
Develop and maintain strong, effective and constructive relationships with relevant stakeholders which include KOLs, key decision makers, prescribers, nurses and other relevant HCPs, hospital pharmacists, purchasing and administration.
Coordinate with cross product teams in conducting Takeda activity in key accounts to maximize Takeda value and establish corporate image.
Be a role model and help team colleagues for their daily practice to achieve the business objectives.
Account management and sales force effectiveness
Identify, profile, segment and target high potential accounts and customers.
Collect high quality data and insights including competitive intelligence to develop customer database (S&T, customer mapping, treatment flow and patient journey)
Analyze data and insights and develop business plan by account/territory.
Take a leadership role in account management under responsible brand to communicate and coordinate cross-functional team (Medical, Marketing & Key Account) to build up the strong partnership with key accounts and external stakeholders.
Be a role model and help team colleagues for their account management.
Company business policy & compliance
Fully understand industry and company policy & code of conduct.
Ensure all business activities comply with regulatory environment with the goal of maximizing product opportunity.
What you bring to Takeda:
Education
Bachelor's degree required, major in medical related field or equivalent is preferred, with a minimum of 5+ years of demonstrated successful relevant healthcare sales experience.
Working Experience
2-4 years of solid working experience in MNC pharmaceutical company.
Working experience with Specialty products is mandatory. Experience in Oncology and/or related disease area is highly desirable and will be an advantage
Core competencies/Skills
Strong contract/bid review and familiar with listing process.
Strong ambition in achieving stretched goals and market demand forecasting accuracy desired.
The individual must have strong business acumen, financial and negotiation skills as well as strategic selling skills.
Be skilled in interpersonal and communication skills.
Good command in English both verbal and listen
Ability to exhibit analytical, strategic and creative thinking as well as create strategy and translate into operational plans.
Demonstrate ability to work in a matrix sales organization.
Possess an in-depth working knowledge of rare genetic disease products.
Good computer skills (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
