Job Description
Join Takeda as a Director of Patient Access Training out of our Lexington, MA office. Where you will have direct oversight and responsibility for Patient Access training, aligned to our Center of Excellence operating model. As the Director of Patient Access Training your scope of responsibilities will encompass learning and development strategy, training program design and development, training implementation and evaluation, facilitation, and project and stakeholder management for both employee onboarding and ongoing employee development. You will lead a team of training professionals, ensuring their continued growth and development.
How you will contribute:
- Strengthening our learning and development strategy, continually infusing relevant industry trends and best practices into our curriculum
- Enhancing our training program design and development, consistently soliciting employee feedback and establishing clear and measurable success factors to demonstrate sustainable impact
- Designing and implementing an annual training plan, tailored to the needs of our Case Management and Field Access Centers of Excellence for both employee onboarding and ongoing development
- Partnering hand-in-hand across our Patient Access Effectiveness team to proactively identify areas where training may be needed based on quality monitoring, process and systems adherence and our impact metrics to enable continuous improvement
- Coaching both direct and indirect reports with clear and actionable constructive feedback
- Engaging with collaborators within and beyond PAMA, and across the US Business Unit, to help guide project and stakeholder management
- Serving as a training thought leader within and beyond Patient and Market Access (PAMA) by sharing innovative concepts, key learnings and best practices.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Health Sciences or related discipline / Business Administration required, MBA/M.Sc./Pharm.D. is a plus
- Experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry is highly recommended
- 10 + years of experience in adult learning strategy and development, training and/or instructional design is required
- Experience with people leadership and performance management required
- Experience in project management across a range of functions, seniority, and
geography is required - Experience conducting market research, working with external vendors and
conducting organized needs assessments required - Forecasting and budget management preferred
- Communicates the need for change and is actively responsive to the resistance it can evoke
- Anticipates and proactively addresses the conflict and ambiguity inherent in change management with a solution-oriented approach
- Adjusts priorities based on critical or urgent issues, while managing current workload and tasks
- Sets and clearly articulates a compelling vision for the future that fosters enthusiasm
- Develops creative strategic plans and crafts pragmatic solutions to implement them, aligned to Patient Access goal
- Demonstrates clear knowledge and understanding of adult learning principles and the tools required to develop and deliver quality training
- Travel Requirement approximately 10%

USA - MA - Hayden - 45-55U.S. Base Salary Range:
$169,400.00 - $266,200.00The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/or long-termincentives. U.S.based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S.based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
