Objectives:

• Monthly Reporting Cycle:  Manages the consolidation of Cloud Performance Reporting for Global DD&T. Develops accurate and timely financial information and advises on ongoing improvements to enable more accurate reporting.  Submits the monthly reporting deck and aligns official numbers within the global reporting systems (CFOiuP) and the Consumption Services Team.

• Advise/Encourage: Serve as an encouraging advisor across the global technology team by providing visibility to operating costs and total cost of ownership in order to enable enterprise cloud consumers to accomplish their objectives in a cost-effective manner

• Budget Planning Cycle: Support the end to end planning cycle through provision of planning inputs, ad-hoc reporting, group alignment and other general tasks. Manage the consolidation and submission of Budget Transfers to Group Reporting. 

• Collaboration across the team:  This role collaborates closely with counterparts across Global DD&T Finance, Senior Stakeholders, Application Owners and Application Teams to ensure clear visibility into operational and project budgets, forecasts, and actual performance. It is also critical that this role builds strong relationships from which further value and tasks can be added to the team.

• Keeping up to-date withlatest, more performant, and cost-effectiveserviceslaunchedbyAWS, analyzeitsapplicabilitytoTakeda applications and promoteitsusageamongstengineers and businessowners.

• PromoteFinOpsmind-set toallthecloud-usingteamswhilebeingmindfulofvariouschallengesthatexistacross a largeapplicationportfolio.

• Constantly monitor cloudspendforeachbusinessunitand workwithengineerstoimplementoptimizationopportunities.

• Build and maintainreportsincludingdashboardssuitableforkeystakeholdersofcloud.

• Buildplans, budgets, forecasts and varianceanalysisoncloudconsumption.

• Linkactivityintofinancialprocesses and cyclesforexampleprovidingvarianceanalysistobudgetsduringmonth-endreporting.

• Ensurechargeback and showbackprocesses are fullyoperational.

• Establishguardrails / policiestodetect and removeusagewaste.

• Continuouslyimprovefrontdoor and in-lifeprocesses, ensuringtheright data iscapturedto drive allaspectsofcosttransparency, optimization, and financialaccountability.

• WorkwithFinanceteamstoensurecorrectaccountingisappliedaccordingGroupAccountingPolicy and assisting inbookingaccrualsduringfinancialclose.

RequiredSkills

• Experiencebuilding and managing Cloud Costanalysis & visualizationsusingtoolslikeApptio, MS Excel, Power BIoranyother similar tool.

• Good with data queries, generatingactionable, concise, and presentable data visualizations.

• UnderstandingofAWS Cloud fundamentals in FinOpstomanage Cloud Budget, Forecast, Spendmonitoring, purchasingvariousCommitments, deriving Cloud CostOptimizationacrosstheOrganization.

Required: 

• Bachelor degree or higher

• Preferred 1-2 years work experience in Cloud or other technology services or Finance

• Strong analytical skills with desire to drive business impacts

• Strong computer software skills (Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
