THE OPPORTUNTY
As a Data and Analytics Lead you will work in partnership with the Head of the OpU DD&T to drive the GMS & GQ Data & Analytics agenda, utilize and present data to enable operational, performance, and technology improvements across the Operating Unit. You will:
Drive collaboration between Site and Global Data Teams: Foster close collaboration between local and global teams to ensure data-driven alignment and strategic execution across manufacturing sites, driving the creation of re-usable components and maximizes the degree of re-use.
Contribute proactively to the GMS & GQ data, analytics and digital strategy, play an active role in the improvement of the OpUs data quality, drive continuous improvement and ensure implementation and adherence of the Data Governance across the Operating Unit.
Aggregate, Analyze, Integrate Diverse Data Sources: Oversees and manages the integration of data from multiple sources into (sub-) domain models, including shopfloor systems and plant operations, as well as OpU relevant master data, to derive actionable insights that drive operational efficiency and performance.
Develop and Implement Predictive Analytics: Design predictive models to identify and capitalize on opportunities that enhance the operational capabilities and competitiveness of the Operating Unit (OpU).
Enable and Scale Data-Driven Use Cases: Lead the identification, implementation, and scaling of high-impact data-driven use cases across the OpU, leveraging plant data and advanced analytics to optimize performance and decision-making processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Data management, curation, modeling, and interpretation for assisting the OpU with effective decision making
- Development and executing business enabling solutions in partnership with above-site and at-site functions (Site Tier 2/3 influence and Function Tier 4/5 alignment)
- Maintaining visibility of current business operating metrics (KPIs), with a focus on developing the capability to provide actionable and impactful insight in the realm of DD&T
- Managing use-case backlog and maintain oversight / repository of use cases (dashboards, AI models, digital products, etc.) in alignment with global team
- Ensuring adoption of solutions incl. value capture across OpU and timely feedback loop on customer satisfaction and business needs
- Ensuring close collaboration between sites and global DAD teams and ensuring that site and OpU requirements are reflected and prioritized in site and DAD roadmaps.
- Ensuring that DAD strategy, roadmaps, standards and tools/ platforms are implemented and followed
- Coordinating master/ reference data is accurate and facilitating mitigation issues/ action on data quality issues
- Proactively developing and deploying concepts to leverage data science best practices and capturing cross industrial data science trends
- Proactively contributing to and promote the Community of Practices at OpU and site level
- Developing innovative ways to utilize data across the OpU to improve performance
- Researching and developing statistical learning models for data analytics
- Establishing operational excellence supporting data visualization tool development
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical discipline; Advanced degree preferred
- Proficient in both written and spoken English
- 10+ years of IT experience in Data & Analytics field (Expert in Data analytics and competences in Data Science)
- Expert in design and execution of data analytics and data science excellence & training concepts to support Tier 2/3 functions at sites
- Experience in creating and managing meaningful data reporting solutions by leveraging established platforms (e.g. Power BI, Qlik, etc.)
- Project management skills; ability to work with multiple data sets and changing priorities
- Advanced level of emotional intelligence
- Ability to interface with international stakeholders and to connect internal and external data analytics experts of both academia and peer industries
- Experience in applying related data science disciplinary knowledge
- Experience in application of advanced data science and simulations
- Ability to establish and focus on critical priorities for the OpU and provide superior results
- Established commitment toward elevating data capabilities (present and future)
- Firm grasp of pharmaceutical (GxP) industry

- Travel required up to 10% (domestic and international)

Salary
As a motivated employee, you should be compensated appropriately. The minimum salary for this position is € 4450 per month (full time), but your final remuneration package may be higher depending on your qualifications and experience.
