Senior Manager E&C Program & Operations (GMSGQ)
Global Manufacturing & Supply and Global Quality (GMSGQ) Ethics & Compliance
About the Role:
Ethics & Compliance (E&C) at Takeda is evolving to address emerging challenges and organizational needs. E&C stays close to the market, proactively encourages ethical behavior aligned with Takeda's values, and balances stable structures with dynamic, innovative risk management solutions through agile ways of working and leveraging digital solutions.
This hybrid role requires in-office presence 8 days per month.
Main Areas of Responsibility
Program Management & Operations:
- Manage the full cycle of GMSGQ E&C initiatives and global E&C project implementation within GMSGQ, covering KPI work planning, milestone setting, monthly tracking, and reporting.
- Leveraging tracking tools, track and report on the implementation and performance of the GMSGQ E&C strategy, including GMSGQ E&C KPI metrics.
- Collaborate with the GMSGQ E&C team and lead preparation for the GMSGQ Risk Ethics & Compliance Committee (including investigation statistics, key learnings, emerging risks and mitigating actions, and progress related to E&C program initiatives and KPIs).
- Organize and chair GMSGQ Ethics and Compliance leadership team meetings, prepare agendas, and maintain action logs.
Compliance Program:
- Support the operational implementation and delivery of E&C monitoring and compliance risk assessment (CRA) activities within GMSGQ.
- In collaboration with E&C business partners, support the prioritization and management of action plans resulting from monitoring findings, compliance risk assessment (CRA) and recommendations.
- Oversee third-party risk management activities related to ABAC within GMSGQ and ensure the E&C community is equipped with the necessary capabilities to assess third-party risks.
- Lead the tracking of and ensure progress against Global E&C Mandatory training within GMSGQ.
- Responsible for ensuring the GMSGQ training matrix is kept up to-date and implemented across the GMSGQ network.
- Collaborate with GMSGQ E&C business partners to implement global E&C policies, tailor the SOPs and draft guidelines in GMSGQ through direct interactions with relevant stakeholders
- Determine and execute data analytics requirements to support the identification of potential compliance issues and trends.
- Collaborate with SBE to ensure that relevant Ethics and Compliance updates are embedded into the GMSGQ T-Map.
Capabilities and Communication:
- Develop and maintain the E&C advisor onboarding program; partner with E&C Business Partners (BPs) to onboard new GMSGQ E&C advisors, focusing on core E&C capabilities.
- As a member of the GMSGQ communicator community, lead the GMSGQ E&C communication plan, co-create content, and work with GMS and GQ communication teams to utilize existing channels for organization-wide messaging (reaching over 16,000 individuals).
- Ensure appropriate communication channels are available and maintained to enable transparent and regular interaction and knowledge sharing with the E&C advisory network within GMSGQ, including town halls.
- In collaboration with the Head of Digital Ethics and Compliance (GMSGQ) co-develop and implement a roadmap for enhancing the digital dexterity of the GMSGQ E&C network.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years Ethics & Compliance experience, including oversight of E&C programs navigating laws, regulations, and industry guidelines ideally within the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or medical device industry, preferably with exposure to pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Demonstrable understanding and application of the core elements of an effective compliance program and experience executing compliance monitoring and training initiatives.
- Demonstrable experience in leveraging and creating analytics tools, databases, reporting platforms and AI to derive insights and support compliance activities, is a must.
- Experience in project management processes including work plan development and facilitating team meetings.
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across regions, time zones, and virtual environments, including leading senior-level discussions.
- Experience working with cross-functional business units, advocating globally, and managing multiple projects and priorities to achieve functional goals.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or Project Management certification is advantageous.
