The DD&T Product Lead is part of Takeda Oncology’s Data, Digital, and Technology (DD&T) team for EUCAN Oncology, responsible for owning the vision and strategy for a portfolio of DD&T tools and solutions such as Next Best Action, across multiple markets. The role will involve close collaboration with cross-functional teams, stakeholders across markets, and product leadership to ensure seamless market rollouts, operational success, and the overall effectiveness of solutions in driving business results.
POSITION OBJECTIVES
The DD&T Product Lead will drive the successful activation, scaling, and continuous improvement of solutions and capabilities, ensuring they provide value and adapt to evolving business needs. The primary objective is to lead market activations, support innovation efforts, manage operations, and ensure the smooth execution of product roadmaps. These efforts will directly support business growth and enhance patient outcomes by delivering innovative, effective tools to teams across the region.
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES
Ownership of Product Vision & Strategy: Lead end-to-end ownership of product solutions, including strategic direction, delivery, and long-term effectiveness. This includes aligning product roadmaps with broader business objectives and ensuring that the tools and solutions evolve to meet changing market needs.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders in multiple markets to ensure alignment on goals, deliverables, and timelines. Ensure that product solutions are seamlessly integrated and executed across teams, fostering a culture of collaboration.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee all operational aspects, including risk management, adherence to quality standards, and resource allocation. Act as the primary point of contact for operational execution, ensuring timely, efficient product deployments and optimizations.
- Innovation & Enhancement: Champion continuous improvement of the product portfolio through the introduction of new features, enhancements, and technological innovations (e.g., AI/ML, data integration). Ensure that product offerings remain competitive and aligned with the needs of the business.
- Financial Stewardship & Performance Management: Manage budgets and financial performance, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently and product goals are achieved within budget. Track KPIs and ensure they reflect progress towards strategic objectives, regularly assessing performance against key metrics.
- Stakeholder Communication & Reporting: Maintain clear and transparent communication with senior leadership and other key stakeholders, providing regular updates on program progress, challenges, successes, and strategic recommendations.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Activation of Markets
- Lead the development and execution of Next Best Action activation roadmaps across the region, ensuring alignment with market needs and timelines.
- Organize and facilitate activation meetings, including Kick-off Sessions, Use Case Library Design Workshops, UAT Sessions, and Change Champion Onboarding, among others. Ensure all activation steps are coordinated effectively across teams and markets.
- Manage and develop activation deliverables, including logistical support for scheduling, training materials, UAT execution, and launch communications.
Innovation
- Conduct periodic strategic reviews of Next Best Action solutions (e.g., use-case library reviews, suggestion re-design workshops) to identify areas for improvement and innovation.
- Lead initiatives to enhance product solutions across all LOCs, incorporating new data sources, advanced AI/ML models, and other technological advancements.
- Support the design and implementation of integrated campaigns that use Next Best Action, creating necessary training materials, conducting workshops, and providing ongoing support for ad-hoc requests.
Operations
- Lead the Platform Team and manage key operational meetings (e.g., Backlog prioritization, Biweekly touchpoints, Monthly Ops reviews).
- Oversee resource allocation, ensuring that demand and value creation are balanced effectively.
- Assess risks, manage issues, and ensure the product adheres to quality assurance standards.
- Refine and document the Operating Model, defining Platform Team structure, ways of working, and campaign governance.
- Lead change management activities, including re-design workshops, feedback processes, and post-launch surveys to drive ongoing improvements.
- Serve as the primary contact for team members and stakeholders, ensuring communication of expectations, timeframes, and budget estimates.
Re-platforming
- Lead the project management activities for re-platforming initiatives across the region, including defining roadmaps, risk management plans, change management strategies, and communication plans. Ensure all re-platforming efforts are aligned with broader organizational goals.
Budget & Performance Management
Track financials closely, supporting decisions on investments, budget allocation, and resource management.
Define and monitor KPIs, regularly assessing progress against these metrics to inform program roadmaps and prioritization.
Prepare strategic progress reports on the product portfolio, highlighting successes, challenges, and providing actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, pharmaceutical sciences, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at various levels.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to think analytically, identify opportunities, and develop innovative solutions.
- Familiarity with Next Best Action methodologies, customer segmentation, and data-driven decision-making processes.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Detail-oriented and results-driven, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong ethical values and a commitment to compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
