ABOUT THE ROLE

The Associate Director Supply chain - Biologics OpU is responsible for driving cross-functional projects across Takeda’s Biologics Supply Chain Operating Unit, encompassing both internal and external manufacturing sites. This role focuses on developing and aligning best practices, enhancing performance management systems, and enabling end-to-end supply chain visibility and control through innovative tools and standardized processes. It also plays a key role in supporting strategic decision-making through preparation of governance materials and contributing to the overall performance and sustainability of the global supply chain function.

HOW YOU CONTRIBUTE

  • Deliver high-impact Ad Hoc projects under the guidance of the Global Supply Chain Head.
  • Design and implement systems to enhance visibility, predictability, and control of key operating parameters e.g. inventory, volume reporting, manufacturing and planning parameters, across the Operating Unit.
  • Develop tools and processes to optimize the three core supply chain levers: inventory, lead time, and capacity.
  • Measure, align, and improve manufacturing site capacity, collaborating closely with operations teams.
  • Partner with Business Excellence teams and Global Manufacturing functions to drive improvements in processes aligned to global demand reviews and supply site utilization as well as operational effectiveness.
  • Standardize master scheduling methodologies using APICS PSI formats to ensure end-to-end visibility.
  • Build and foster a collaborative Supply Chain community across sites and global functions, focusing on alignment for budgeting cycles, capability development, and information sharing.
  • Contribute to the creation and deployment of systems that support sustainable provisioning and regulatory change control integration.

WHAT YOU BRING TO TAKEDA

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience in GMP Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or Operations (MSc or MBA preferred). APICS certification.
  • Knowledge of regulatory change control processes in a global supply chain context.
  • SAP IBP / OBP and APO PPDS experience
  • Broad understanding of supply chain functions, including planning, logistics, inventory, MRP, procurement, and lean manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and implementing change, in a global operating context, including digital transformation and AI-driven tools.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and operate effectively in matrixed, multicultural organizations.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to simplify and optimize complex processes.
  • Solid business acumen and foundational financial knowledge.
  • Proficiency in English and excellent communication skills.
