About the role:

In this highly responsible role, you will focus on handling material data in our Enterprise Resource Planning Systems and contribute innovative ideas regarding our Master Data Management processes at Takeda's largest manufacturing site in Vienna. We are looking to you to hold the map for the Supply Chain Organization’s reputation in terms of reliability, accuracy and consistency of Master Data and set an example in continuous improvement. Within Takeda locally and globally you will be involved in processes for item life cycle management, creating and monitoring of master data to enable E2E planning, manufacturing and inventory processes.

How you will contribute:

  • Master Data Ownership:
    As a Master Data Specialist, you will manage material data (Items & Bills of Materials) in our ERP systems, ensuring the availability of high-quality, accurate, and reliable data for Takeda Vienna’s E2E planning, manufacturing, and inventory processes.

  • Hands-on Involvement and Responsibility:
    You will be involved in all manufacturing steps and the required material master data across the entire value chain at Site Vienna, including fractionation, purification, filling, visual inspection, packaging, and shipping out.

  • Global and Local Collaboration:
    You will engage and interact with a diverse range of stakeholders, both locally and globally, such as manufacturing, quality assurance, finance, launch management, material change management, artwork management, supply planning, production planning, and more.

  • Master Data Expert:
    Develop your expertise to represent the Master Data Management team in Vienna in local and global projects aimed at enhancing the capabilities of our routine operations.

  • Continuous Improvement:
    You will analyze and continuously enhance the E2E Master Data business processes to simplify tasks and meet our value creation targets. You will create transparency about potential improvements, standardized documentation, and contribute to sustainable process stability.

What you bring to Takeda:

  • Educational background: you hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Informatics/Information Technology (IT)/Supply Chain with numerous IT-modules/Computer Science/Engineering or have significant professional experience in the manufacturing industry (e.g., automotive/food/pharma) and/or IT/IT consulting.

  • System/application knowledge: you are experienced in working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (SAP S/4 HANA, SAP ECC, and/or Oracle JD Edwards), Master Data Governance systems (e.g. SAP MDG), MS-Office 365 suite (Excel, Power Platform).

  • Affinity to work with data: you are used to work with large sets of data (data warehousing) and enjoy focusing on database management, information systems and data analysis by applying Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, QLIK Sense, SAP Business Object). Experience with Dimensional Data Modelling (DDM), Databricks, programming skills (SQL, Python, Java) are not required but an advantage.

  • Life-long-learning/Creativity: you have a mindset which is eager to continuously learn new things and come up with creative solutions. You are aware of digital trends and love to share those within the MDM Team.

  • Strong communication skills:
    you communicate proactively and have assertiveness on a local and global level. Due to your high level of emotional intelligence, excellent teamwork, analytical and problem-solving skills, you can communicate complex ideas/processes in an easy-to-understand way to non-technical stakeholders, anticipate potential objections and persuade others, to adopt different points of views.

  • Personality: your resilience when working under time pressure and your ability to prioritize appropriately help you achieve your goals. A competitive remuneration package with a minimum salary of € 4.157,14 gross per month (full-time, collective wage agreement for the chemical industry) - the actual salary depends on your professional experience and qualifications.
