Job Description
About the Role:
As Head of Metrology you lead and develop our newly established Vienna Metrology team to meet current and future needs. As part of the Site Engineering Leadership Team, you’ll drive technical solutions aligned with our global network, ensure compliance with GxP and legal standards, and represent the team in site meetings, global forums, and regulatory inspections.
How you will contribute:
- Build and lead a high-performing, well-organized Metrology team
- Drive continuous improvement in alignment with local and global strategies
- Oversee daily calibration operations across the Vienna site
- Manage internal and external resources, budgets, compliance, and KPIs.
- Standardize and simplify calibration processes
- Support and execute site shutdown activities
- Introduce smart technologies into Metrology to become a leading position in the network
- Foster collaboration across site entities and promote stakeholder engagement
What you bring to Takeda:
- Proven leadership experience in a relevant management role
- Degree in science, engineering, or chemical/biological field
- Experience in GMP manufacturing and regulatory inspections
- Strong background in the pharmaceutical industry
- Excellent change and people management skills
- General management experience including financial oversight
- Proven track record in continuous improvement
- Knowledge of digitization trends and applications in Metrology
- Strong technical expertise especially in Metrology
- Proficient in German and English

A competitive remuneration package with a minimum salary of € 4.686,11 gross per month (full-time, collective wage agreement for the chemical industry) - the actual salary offer is significantly higher and depends on your professional experience and qualifications.
