About the role:

Define and maintain master data in J D Edwards / SAP ERP system liaising and coordinating with stakeholders responsible for providing master data parameters to align on data & practices with business objectives through Data Stewardship, Data Governance, Data Cleansing, Data Quality. 

How you will contribute:

  • Review & provide ERP related assessment for intercompany / intra company business change request consisting of Master Data Management   

  • Maintaining Master data in J D Edwards / SAP ERP system for Process & Discrete Manufacturing of Product Data Management that includes defining New Items, Changing parameters for an item, Enter / Change Bill of Materials, Enter / Change Routing Instructions, Supplier Master & related Cross Reference, Interface related Custom Set up required in JDE ERP etc. for smooth functioning of business processes within ERP & other companion applications like Manufacturing Execution System (EBM), Labware, APDS etc. associated with Covington site

  • Act on ERP related Master Data change Request & bring then to logical closure.

  • Extend Items from sister facilities to Covington facilities as needed

  • Liaise with stakeholders & coordinate with all concerned departments responsible for providing Master Data parameters to align on data & practices with business objectives

  • Data Stewardship of owning the quality, accuracy and consistency of specific data domains within JDE, ensuring data accuracy and consistency. 

  • Data Governance via Periodic review of Master data & help to establish a governance structure for data, defining who is responsible for data, how it is used and how it is maintained.

  • Data cleansing that involves Identify and correct errors in data in ERP

  • Data quality by monitoring and maintaining the quality of critical data to ensure that it meets the organization's requirements for accuracy, completeness and consistency issues such as incomplete, inaccurate or inconsistent data

  • Interpret data for correct entry into relevant fields.

  • Maintaining Physical Paper copies of Master Data for audit purposes

  • Develop, Maintain, Review and Update ERP related Master Data Process Workflows, Standard Operating Procedures, Job Aids, Work Instructions etc.

  • Accountable for providing effective support in terms of Master Data Management and analysis, while operating in a complex, cross-functional and international environment.

  • Comply with Takeda global Master Data Management practices goals like Paper based MDM to non-paper based digital MDM solutions, One Master System-Multiple Salves system for MDM etc.

  • Periodic review like Annual, Quarterly, Ad Hoc for Bill of Materials for adding new component items, component items to be discontinued, quantity revision etc. based on planned v/s actual consumption of component items against parent items via Work Order & Non-Work Order

  • Reviewer for sister sites master data related updates.

  • Initiate weekly cycle count activities, follow up with respective departments, variance review & update ERP to match physical quantities

  • Run Ad hoc Material Requirements Planning

  • Train cross teams on proper data management practices

  • Attend Monthly global master data calls

What you bring to Takeda:

  • Bachelor of Science (Engineering Preferred)

  • 3 to 5 yrs. experience in Master Data Management role.

  • Experience in GxP environment like GDP, GMP etc.

  • Experience in working in Pharmaceuticals Industry

  • Proficiency in Office 365 / Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other relevant software

  • Good coordination and communication skills

  • Experience in Change Management

Key Skills, Abilities, and Competencies

  • Experience working in JDE 9.2 Version onwards ERP systems in modules like Inventory Management, Product Data Management, Supplier Management etc.

  • Data governance

  • Data analysis

  • Data integration

  • Knowledge on SAP ERP added advantage

Important Considerations

At Takeda, our patients rely on us to deliver quality products. As a result, we must follow strict rules in our manufacturing facilities to ensure we are not endangering the quality of the product. In this role, you may:

  • General administrative tasks (desk, computer, filing, copying etc.).

  • Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 lbs.

  • Office environment.

  • May work in a controlled environment requiring special gowning and wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet and body. This may include additional hearing protection for loud areas.

  • Will need to remove all make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish and/or artificial fingernails while in the manufacturing environment.

  • May work in a cold, hot or wet environment.

  • May work around chemicals such as alcohol, acids, buffers and Celite that may require respiratory protection.

  • Must be able to work overtime as required.

  • May require occasional off-shift support.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. We are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices.

U.S. Base Salary Range:

$67,900.00 - $106,700.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
