Job Description
Company Profile:
Takeda's Singapore biologics manufacturing facility focuses on manufacturing potentially life-saving medicines for patients suffering from rare blood disorders such as Hemophilia A and B. As part of the company’s Biologics Operating Unit network, the site is Takeda’s only biologics drug substance manufacturing facility in Asia. The facility has two buildings, including manufacturing suites and laboratories, as well as Takeda’s first positive energy building certified by Singapore’s Building and Construction Authority’s Green Mark scheme in 2022.
Job Title: Senior Lab Analyst II (Lab Services) – 12 months contract
Location: Woodlands, Singapore
About the role:
This position is required to provide services to the Quality Control Laboratories on Sample Management and Inventory Management in the Lab Services team.
How you will contribute:
Sample Management
Receipt of Routine and Non-Routine samples and distribute samples to their respective storage locations.
Performs Aliquoting on Process and Non-Protein samples on a daily basis.
Tracking of Sample Receipt on a daily basis at the Lab Services Tracking Boards.
Performs testing on Utilities samples on weekend, when required.
Performs peer review for verification of task and data related to Sample Management.
Perform sterilization cycle using qualified autoclave; perform depyrogenation using qualified cycle.
ECC controller to generate control copy of document and form for laboratory testing
Arrange and coordinate the external testing shipment.
Inventory Management
Ensures good inventory of critical materials via QC Kanban system to support testing by replenishing the items. Involved in heavy lifting in buddy system
Purchase of Laboratory Consumables, Services and Chemicals/Biologics in Takeda’s Requisition System.
Receipt of QC Reference Substances, Controls and Critical Reagents.
Lab Maintenance (System)
Initiate GEMS deviation via Trackwise system when required.
Involve in audit preparation when tasked.
Participate, support investigation and/or own an investigation when required.
Participate and support Continuous Improvement (CI) initiative when required.
Revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Forms and EHS Risk Assessment.
Monitor the temperature for TCO equipment when tasked.
Raise workorder to engineering on the task request.
General Responsibilities
Assists in the review and writing of SOPs related to Sample and Inventory Management.
Identifies and report any excursion / atypical issues / safety concerns in QC to Supervisor in a timely manner.
Carry out 5S and ensures good housekeeping of Lab Services area.
Support and participates in Operation Excellence initiatives (such as GEMBA and GMP walk).
Responsibility to adhere to any applicable EHS requirements.
Commitment to a fair and respectful relationship to others and behavior in accordance with Takeda’s Code of Conduct.
Any other duties as assigned by supervisor
What you bring to Takeda:
Education and Experience Requirements
Diploma in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or equivalent, preferably with more than 1 year of related laboratory experience.
Knowledge in Microsoft Office application
Experience working in cGMP Manufacturing Laboratory will be an advantage.
Willing to work on rotating Day Shift (0730 to 1930 hours).
Experience in performing Total Organic Carbons (TOC) and Conductivity tested will be advantage.
