Job Description

OBJECTIVE

• Strategic Alignment: Ensure that IT applications for data integration and reporting analysis aligned with the overall business strategy and objectives of the pharmaceutical enterprise.
• Operational Efficiency: Enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of IT applications to streamline business processes.
• Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data analytics and AI to drive informed decision-making processes.
• Compliance and Security: Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and ensure the security and integrity of data and system.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Unleash the power of Data, Digital and Technology to achieve China Elevation Plan by building strategic capabilities
• Be partnership with all relevant BUs/BFs, with a strategic mindset, able to take business priorities, in-depth understanding of the commercial business with the ability to influence, challenge and innovate to enable commercial strategic imperatives.
• Data Warehouse Architecture and Management

• Design and Maintain Architecture: Create and maintain data warehouse architectures to support business intelligence and reporting needs.Design and oversee the implementation of data models and databases.
• ETL Processes: Develop and implement ETL (Extract, Transform, and Load) processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity. Manage data cleansing, de-duplication, and harmonization of data.
• Monitor Performance: Monitor and analyze data warehouse performance and suggest improvements. Ensure all database programs meet company and performance requirements.

• Data Collection, Analysis, and Quality Management

• Data Collection and Analysis: Collect and analyze data from multiple sources to develop data warehouse solutions. Work with existing data warehouse and semantic model (cube) to write queries that will provide data to reporting solutions.
• Data Quality: Develop data warehouse strategies and best practices to ensure data quality. Develop and implement data standards and quality rules.
• Metadata Management: Develop and maintain metadata to support data warehouse operations.

• Reporting and Analytics

• Generate Reports: Oversee the generation of regular and ad-hoc reports for different departments and stakeholders. Develop, test, and deploy new and updated reports to the production environment.
• Business Intelligence: Provide business intelligence and analytics to support strategic decision-making. Work with new technologies to provide state-of-the-art analytics to business users.

• Integration of AI Capabilities

• AI in Data Security and Compliance: AI-driven tools automate data classification, ensuring compliance. Machine learning algorithms predict and identify potential security breaches before they occur.
• AI in Business Intelligence and Reporting: AI and machine learning enhance reporting by providing predictive analytics and real-time insights to help stakeholders make informed decisions based on data-driven insights.
• AI in Data Warehouse Architecture: Optimize data warehouse design and performance, ensuring scalability and efficiency. Machine learning algorithms analyze data patterns to improve ETL processes and data quality.

• Compliance and Security

• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with departmental SOPs, policies, and regulatory guidance documents. Ensure data accuracy, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Data Security: Manage the security, integrity, and privacy of data warehouse systems.

• Collaboration and Communication

• Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with IT, business stakeholders, and end-users to define and document business requirements. Meet with report consumers and other stakeholders to elicit and document reporting requirements and propose appropriate solutions.
• Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users on data warehouse tools and reporting functionalities.

• Project Management and Team Leadership

• Project Oversight: Oversee the daily activities of the team responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of data warehouse systems and projects.

• Continuous Improvement and Innovation

• Stay Updated with Technology: Keep abreast of the latest advancements in data warehousing, analytics, and reporting tools. Research changes in technology and industry standards.
• Process Optimization: Work with new technologies to provide state-of-the-art analytics to business users. Regularly review and assess the effectiveness of the data warehouse and reporting processes. Proactively engage in continuous improvement efforts for reports and their operation.

Requirements

• Educational Background:

• A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Experience:

• Prior experience in managing new generation data warehouse and reporting platform and implementing relevant strategies in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards relevant to the pharmaceutical sector.

• Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in new generation data warehouse and reporting platform.
• Experience with AI and machine learning technologies to support new generation data warehouse and reporting platform.
• Familiarity with AI tools.

• Soft Skills:

• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders while maintaining a focus on business outcomes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills to address technical and business challenges.

QUALIFICATIONS

Level of Education

IT / digital background preferred

Bachelor Degree is a must, MBA preferred

Working Experience in Relevant Field

10-15 years experiences in IT/ digital / innovation strategy experiences in pharmaceutical industry
