Job Title: Reliability Engineer

Location: Italy, Rieti

Purpose

Reliability engineer is a member of the engineering team at the site, responsible for improving the reliability of equipment, utilities, systems and maintenance processes, applying the principles of reliability engineering. She/he works in co-operation with engineering team and, more in general, with all the site and global organization, to achieve the success of Takeda to better serve patients worldwide. He/she is responsible of

  • Management/participation/support to programs targeting assets reliability improvement

  • Preventive and predictive maintenance programs definition

  • Measure of performance to identify performance improvement areas and track progresses and achievements.

Responsibilities:

Maintenance programs

  • assessment, definition, documentation, management and execution (as applicable),

  • Special focus on Preventive and predictive maintenance

  • Involvement in execution flow of predictive maintenance

Improvement programs definition and management, with special focus about:

  • improvement of reliability of equipment, systems and utilities

  • optimization of maintenance activities

  • improvement of maintenance processes and technologies

Performance analysis, with special focus on

  • equipment & systems performance

  • maintenance performance of the sites

  • equipment & systems compliance

Engineering support in multiple areas:

  • Maintenance

  • Troubleshooting (3rd level)

  • projects and programs, compliance.

  • Compliance (CAPA, Deviations, Audits)

Requirements, skills and qualifications:

  • Engineering experience in comparable position or area; preferred Reliability position held for < 2 years in the pharma/chemical or agri-food Industry.

  • Bachelor or Master's Degree in Chemical/ Mechanical Engineering or similar field.

  • Languages: Fluent in Italian; Good in English (written and spoken)

  • Knowledge of: Advanced Predictive Maintenance and Maintenance Assessment: Black and Clean Utilities

Flexibility

  • Ability to manage priorities and multiple inputs

  • Management of conflicts

  • Mature Early Warning approach in the management of priorities

Leadership

  • Strategic enterprise thinking; ability to find innovative ways to serve patients and build Takeda’s trust, reputation and business.

  • Ability to create environment that inspires and enables people to move the organization forward

  • Ability to focus the most important priorities, deliver superior results, lead situations and colleagues in the management of issues and prioritize tasks accordingly

  • Ability to elevate the capabilities of the organization

  • Good communication skills and adaptability to change

  • Ability to work in team, with the right level of flexibility and negotiation.

  • Ability to manage changes

  • Ability to manage complexity by simplification and delegation

  • Ability to manage problem solving processes and methodologies

  • Knowledge of tools like DMAIC, Six Sigma, FMEA,..

  • Good negotiation skills

  • Focus on goals

  • Proven confidentiality skills

Innovation

  • Interest in new technologies, Big Data, Artificial intelligence

  • Proven knowledge of engineering and maintenance practices

  • Advanced use of IT basic systems (MS Office)

  • Experience of use of CMMS systems is a plus
