Job Title: Process Engineer

Location: Rieti

OBJECTIVES

  • Performs diagnostics on the site systems to resolve failures and increase their performance;
  • Supports production to sustain the run rate and quality standards;
  • Executes and supports activities related to the purchase, installation, modification, and operation of the plant, and assists the Maintenance department in problem-solving activities;
  • Executes and supports the development and verification of capacity models for the facility, integrating them with future expansion projects and enabling feasibility analysis of the latter;
  • Supports and conducts technical investigations and resolution of issues related to the department's systems;
  • Carries out day-to-day technical activities such as installation, modification, and updating of the plant's process equipment;
  • Enhances machinery procurement through the drafting of appropriate technical specifications;
  • Supports and conducts Factory Acceptance Tests of equipment during the purchasing phase;
  • Manages the Life Cycle Management of systems within the department's scope;
  • Supports the definition of policies and spare parts inventory based on production volumes;
  • Collaborates in drafting user requirements specifications for the selection of equipment within the department's scope;
  • Ensures the execution of management and control activities for critical systems, GMP utilities, and non-GMP critical systems of the facility;
  • Collaborates, if necessary, during EHS and Quality inspections within their area of expertise.

RESPONSABILITIES

  • Collaborate with different company functions in achieving the facility's objectives while adhering to cGMP, Quality System, and EHS regulations;

  • Support the maintenance of the GMP document archive related to your department, including the responsibility of retrieving and destroying documents;

  • Draft or support the drafting of capacity models for analyzing process times and utility consumption in the facility, as well as feasibility studies for new processes or parts thereof.

Technical/functional experience  

  • Knowledge of process equipment used in human plasma fractionation;

Leadership

  • Ensures the proper performance of the tasks assigned to the people involved in its objectives;
    Engages the various plant figures in its activities to review all the various aspects;

Processes and Autonomous Decision Making

  • Independently manages issues related to day-to-day plant management;

Interaction

  • Interfaces with the various plant functions to share their activities and their impact on them;

Innovation

  • Knows the production process and is interested in innovations in the technical field;

EDUCATION AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (with a preference for Mechanical, Chemical, or Biomedical);
  • Previous experience in the field of plant development (design, installation, and/or modification of systems) in the pharmaceutical industry is considered a plus;
  • Technical skills related to industrial and general plants;
  • Knowledge of GDP and GMP; Ability to work in a team, excellent communication skills;
  • Dynamism and initiative;
  • Good knowledge of both written and spoken English;
  • Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
