Job Title: Plant & Process Engineer

Location: Pisa

OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE

  • Support the Process & Plant Engineering site Lead during execution of ordinary and extraordinary activity assigned to the Pr. & Pl. engineering team.
  • Support Project expansion
  • Sustain production throughout.
  • Development/Improve Technological Assets

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Coordination of Vendors & Contractors management in order to support project implementation and production throughput.
  • Support for manufacturing facility strategy and capital project roadmap in accordance with Process and Plant Engineering site Lead.
  • Support Quality audit inspection and EHS local site program and implementation of safety measures in accordance with current regulations
  • Perform Feasibility study on plant and process equipment
  • Accountable for equipment capacity model analysis and definition
  • Support maintenance assessment evaluation for new equipment and helps to modify preventive maintenance program in conjunction with the Maintenance Dept
  • Collaboration with Maintenance Dept. and other operations department leading issues resolution on process equipment
  • Support the Engineering site Lead for local deployment of global engineering programs.
  • Support deployment of global engineering SOP.
  • Support to manage local engineering SOP. Ensure that all provided engineering documentation is updated and compliant with technical, quality and safety requirements.
  • Support in analysis and execution of CAPA in agreement with other site function
  • Availability for on-call service when required
  • Providing support with site engineering lead to budget management
  • Management Change control and ownership for new implementation projects
  • Accountable for Pest Control system in agreement with quality department
  • Accountable for water & energy facility management, monitoring and related project optimization.

  • Manage process team in order to timely respond and solve operational issues;
  • Management projects on time and within budget;
  • Support and interact with cross-functional team for technical implementation / assessment;
  • Sees opportunities beyond the scope of own role and influences others to adopt new and effective ways of working;
  • Enables the engineering team to work collaboratively and have challenging discussions;
  • Be capable in making and implementing decisions based on sound business judgment.

Decision-making and Autonomy(The capacity and authority to make organizational decisions, autonomy in decision-making, complexity of decisions, impact of decisions, problem-solving)

  • Autonomy in decision-making during engineering project / implementation, reporting and escalating issue on time to the upper level

  • Manage Process Engineering in Biotech/Pharma operations/manufacturing environment.
  • Experienced in bioprocess engineering and expert knowledge of systems, equipment, and automation.

EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:(List the essential and desirable education and competency requirements to perform the primary responsibilities of the job.  Any minimum requirements should be noted.)

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • 3+ Years of experience
  • Teamwork

Knowledge of IT skills:

  • Proficient ability of working tools Office Suite
  • Knowledge of most used industrial ERP software (SAP and JDEdwards)
  • Knowledge of most used project management software
  • Basic knowledge of cloud-based data access and sharing software
  • Able to analyze results from tests and understand results from this.
