Job Title: Data, Digital & Technology Expert
Location: Pisa
About the role:
Takeda is making the leap to a reimagined future where Data, Digital and Technology (DD&T) will completely transform our business. To help us achieve this purpose for our manufacturing site in Pisa, we are now hiring a DD&T Expert.
This role will assist in creating the digital and innovation strategy roadmap for the site and collaborate with stakeholders and IT/technical leaders on digital transformation projects.

How you will contribute:
- Collaborate on developing DD&T solutions to business problems, such as integrated processes, applications, data, and technology components
- Develop an understanding of business value, dependencies, and risks and apply this knowledge proactively
- Develop user stories and specifications for new products/services, applications, and service offerings ensuring implementation of design principles, technical guidelines and best practices as established for projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, to support data-driven initiatives and projects
- Provide technical in monitoring of daily operations, depending on personal knowledge and technical skills
- Assist on projects bridging the gap between a highly-regulated manufacturing environment with a focus on Patients and People with the state-of-the-art developments in Digitalisation and Technological Innovation
- Provide input for hardware and software selection, purchasing, installations, upgrades, and maintenance.
What you bring to Takeda:
- Bachelor/Master degree in IT/Computer Science/Pharmaceutical Manufacturing/Mechatronics or related area with
- 2 or more years of professional experience in roles supporting Innovation, Digitalisation, Automation or Manufacturing
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills and ability to understand and address business requirements.
- Effective leadership, self-management, time management and learning capabilities
- Some experience in programming/data manipulation or analysis using tools such as SQL, Python, R, or similar languages
- First knowledge or exposure to: SCRUM, Agile Methodologies, Change Management, Project Management
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar software would be a benefit
- Familiarity with statistical concepts and techniques
- Ability to effectively communicate and ask probing questions
- Ability to write and speak in the English language
- A good sense of humor and motivation for learning and co-creating sustainable change and improvement!
Important Considerations:
At Takeda, our patients rely on us to deliver quality products. As a result, we must follow strict rules in our manufacturing facilities to ensure we are not endangering the quality of the product. In this role (which is primarily office-based), when you are entering the manufacturing facilities you will:
- Work in a controlled environment requiring special gowning and wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet and body. This may include additional hearing protection for loud areas.
- Need to remove all make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish and/or artificial fingernails while in the manufacturing environment.
- Work in a cold, wet environment.
- Work multiple shifts, including weekends, or be asked to work supplemental hours, as necessary.
- Work around chemicals such as alcohol, acids, buffers and Celite that may require respiratory protection.
- Some travel may be required
