Job Title: Business Lead - West Zone, Oncology
Location: Mumbai, India
Department: Sales
Reports To: Franchise Head, Oncology
Job Summary: The Business Lead for the West Zone will be responsible for leading and managing the sales operations within the designated region. This role involves developing and implementing strategic sales plans to achieve business objectives, managing a team of sales professionals, and ensuring KOL engagement. The Business lead will work closely with the Franchise Head and other key stakeholders to drive growth and expand market presence in the oncology segment for Takeda.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and expand the HCPs base in the West Zone.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales representatives, providing guidance and support to achieve individual and team goals.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, providing regular reports to the Franchise Head.
- Establish and leverage on key Hematologists and Medical oncologists connects from West zone for HCP engagement and generating leads.
- Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to penetrate into reimbursement segments.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, distributors and hospital pharmacies.
- Collaborate with marketing and cross-functional teams to align sales strategies with business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with Takeda policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
- Organize and participate in the conferences.
- Manage the sales budget for the West Zone, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10-15 years of sales experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role. Experience in oncology segment is preferred.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of the oncology market and industry trends.
- Ability to travel extensively within the West Zone.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
