Job Description

Shire Human Genetic Therapies, Inc. is seeking a Project Portfolio Specialist in Lexington, MA with the following requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field plus 3 years of related experience. Prior experience must include: Develop and implement PMO processes to enhance project development performance, including project tracking, RACI charts, risk registers, and change/issue logs; Report project, portfolio, and program performance to cross-functional and management teams using project management tools such as Exepron (Project Management Software), Microsoft Project, and JIRA; Develop business cases, metrics, and goals for project activities to ensure timely completion of key projects; Develop project prioritization strategy based on TOC (Theory of Constraint) concept, resulting in timely project closure and increased business revenue; Lead the development of visualization in Exepron and Microsoft Project for efficient project resource management and to enable resolution of overallocation issues; Develop customized cost management tool Oasis to track project budgeting and send notifications to customers for reviewing cost details; Collaborate with Senior Project Manager to establish project KPIs and ensure data quality and completeness in management systems like Oasis, project fileshares, and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) online portals; Implement continuous improvement ideas to streamline processes in alignment with industry best practices; Identify gaps in current business processes, and review and update them to remove bottlenecks and improve efficiency. Up to 40% remote work allowed. Approximately 10% domestic travel required.

Full time. $88,000 - $144,000/year.
