About the role:

Join Takeda as an Associate Director, Marketing Services where you will play a crucial role in driving and navigating transformative initiatives while fostering a culture of continuous improvement, adaptability, and growth. You will also effectively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, combined with strategic thinking and exceptional problem-solving skills, and an enterprise mindset. Additionally, your leadership will be required to inspire and motivate teams to embrace change and achieve organizational objectives. As part of the Commercial Operations Business Solutions(COBS), Marketing Operations and Solutions you will report to Senior Director Marketing Services and Solutions and partner with key internal stakeholders and external vendors.

How you will contribute:

  • Oversees management of key external vendor relationships. Builds two-way Vendor partnerships that result in increasing operational efficiencies and better services.  Cultivates strategic partnerships to bring in thought leadership while supporting the business, developing the service/technology roadmap, and generating innovative ideas.

  • Builds, retains, develops, and motivates team members to success. Builds a talent base and succession plan, implements personal development plans and training to achieve business objectives.

  • Embeds an agile mindset and spirit of innovation in the team and the way they work.

  • Leadership of staffing, PRT track resource requirements, organization structure, and operating budget of the Promotional Review Management function, leading a team of employees and contractors.

  • Lead the Promotional Review Management function, and establish strategic direction.

  • Develop strategic partnerships with the Business Unit (BU) brand leadership to ensure business needs are met for promotional material development, review, and approval.

  • Lead and manage strategic projects and initiatives within Marketing Services, Marketing Operations, and US Commercial Operations.

  • Act as a thought leader and subject matter expert across Marketing Services, Marketing Operations, and US Commercial Operations.  Partners with leaders across COBS to ensure alignment and coordination across the end-to-end promotional material management (review, lifecycle management, etc.)

  • Proactively plan for emerging trends and compliance guidelines, anticipate the impact on PRT processes, and determine how to address them. Serve as the Takeda expert for industry PRT processes.  

  • Create and lead high performing teams to ensure best practices and solutions are established to meet compliance guidelines and policies.

  • Support succession planning through career development of Marketing Services team, identifying and delivering on opportunities to build out team capabilities.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Minimum BS/BA degree with MS/MBA preferred

  • Minimum of 8 years of management level experience in the pharmaceutical, immunology, biologic/biotech, or medical device industries.

  • Minimum of 5 years of people leadership experience leading a medium to large organization and influencing senior-level management and key stakeholders

  • Proven track record of leading and driving business process transformation and organizational culture change as well as delivering on programs with complex business deliverables.

  • Ability to set priorities, deliver on deadlines and develop workflow processes and tasks in an evolving, dynamic marketplace. 

  • Strong analytical skills and budget management.

  • Previous organizational change management experience

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills necessary to lead through change and influence without authority.

  • Ability to demonstrate strategic and critical thinking, as well as problem solving skills

  • Strong organizational, planning and project management skills–ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and develop workflow processes and tasks for multiple projects.

  • Track record of successful leadership, management, and development of small to medium, multi-disciplinary dispersed teams. Strong judge of talent with the ability to make tough talent decisions.

  • Health care business acumen with a comprehensive understanding of the pharmaceutical industry.

  • Marketing experience preferred.

U.S. Base Salary Range:

$149,100.00 - $234,300.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/or long-termincentives. U.S.based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S.based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
