Job Description
US Medical Communications and Scientific Training sits within the US Medical Affairs group and is responsible for ensuring that materials used by the Field Medical Team (Medical Science Liaisons) are developed and deployed appropriately, that the Field Medical Team is trained on the use of those materials, and that congresses held on US soil utilize a strategic approach that allows Takeda to support healthcare professionals that care for patients.
Job Description:
The US Medical Communications 2025 Summer Intern will report to the Associate Director, Congress Strategy, and will be responsible for
- Collection, collation, and evaluation of data sets
- Crafting basic and intermediate-level analyses of data sets
- Co-creating baseline approaches for using A/I and machine learning to analyze information
- Identifying key points and insights based on the data analysis
- Creating a scientific narrative to explain observations using the scientific method
- Creating and presenting a set of points and recommendations based on the data.
Candidate will be the executor of this analysis program, building on the 2024 data set and, at the end of the term, provide the deeper foundation for longitudinal analyses of interest.

- An understanding of scientific research methodology.
Job Requirements:
- This position will be Hybrid and require 2-3 days in the Cambridge, MA or Lexington, MA office per week.
- Must be starting their Junior/Senior year of college or first year of graduate program studying areas that might include biology, chemistry, pre-med, journalism, communications, health-system administration, or information management;
- Must have a focus/interest in scientific/medical communication, medical education, the clinical aspects of patient care and management
- Interested in utilizing A/I and machine learning to assess information
- Eager to work with data sets to perform basic and intermediate data analysis.
- Basic understanding of computer skills including MS Office (PowerPoint, Words, Excel)
- Internet skills including use of e-mails, group messaging and information gathering
- Highly reliable and a strong team player
- Flexible with an attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Internship Eligibility
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship
- Must be currently enrolled in a degree program graduating December 2025 or later
- The internship program is 10-12 weeks depending on the two start dates (June 2nd- August 22nd) or (June 16th - August 29th)
- The intern must be able to commit to one of these time frames
- Able to work full time 40 hours a week during internship dates
- Takeda does not provide a housing stipend or relocation support for the U.S Summer Internship Program

USA - MA - Hayden - 45-55U.S. Hourly Wage Range:
$21.00 - $46.00
The estimated hourly range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual hourly wage offered will depend on the candidate’s school year/level to be entered following completion of internship.The actual hourly wage offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. internship benefits vary by location and may include:
Paid sick time

Commuter Benefit: To offset your work-commute expenses, Takeda provides U.S. employees with a fixed monthly subsidy to be used for either public transportation (transit) or parking.
