We are seeking a person who is motivated to continuously learn as you will be trained to independently carry out all the activities required to manufacture a pure, safe and effective solution derived from blood plasma. Please take a closer look at The role of Technician Chimist at Takeda

How you will contribute:

  • Carry out all production operations required to manufacture a solution derived from blood plasma with the aim of achieving ‘operational excellence’.
  • Cleaning operations required to maintain production equipment and premises in good condition
  • In-process measurements required to control purification operations
  • Rigorously document the operations carried out in order to guarantee the traceability of completed operations.
  • Safety procedures and compliance to regulations is essential to be followed at all times to ensure own safety and that of others, but also to manufacture pure, safe and efficient product.
  • Apply environmental procedures to ensure appropriate treatment of waste linked to production activities.
  • Participate in the supervision and training of new technicians, and project-related activities requiring bulk expertise.
  • React appropriately to incidents and provide accurate feedback to your manager
  • Apply the fundamental principles of teamwork.

What you bring to Takeda :

  • A degree in life science (specializing in chemistry/biotechnology/agronomy) or equivalent training.
  • Experience as a production technician is an asset, but we are open to train and develop your skills to excel in this role.
  • Knowledge within PH measurement, conductivity measurement, spectrophotometry, chromatography, frontal and tangential filtration is an asset.
  • Have the ability to lift, push, pull and carry up to 25 kg.
  • Enjoy working both independently and in teams
  • Proactive, positive and supporting personality
  • Effective stress management and handling of pressured situations.

    Important considerations:

    At Takeda, our patients rely on us to provide quality products. As a result, we must follow strict rules at our production sites to ensure that we do not compromise product quality. In this job, there are several things to consider:

    • Working in a controlled environment requires appropriate clothing, i.e. protective and safety clothing for the face, hands, feet and body. This may also include additional hearing protection in noisy areas.
    • Make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail varnish and/or artificial nails will not be accepted in the production area.
    • Working in shift
    • Working near chemicals such as alcohol, acids, swabs and celite, etc., which may require respiratory protection.
