About the role:

At Takeda, we believe that technology and digital innovation are the backbone of our success. Therefore, the Data & Digital Technology (DD&T) department is at the core of our digital transformation, responding proactively to evolving business and technological landscapes. As the Technical System Owner, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of key digital platforms, ensuring they remain optimized, and aligned with both regulatory standards and business needs.

How you will contribute:

Reporting to the Head of DD&T, you will be at the heart of our digital ecosystem, ensuring that our critical systems operate securely aligned with business objectives. You will be responsible for:

System Management & Maintenance

  • Oversee daily operations of technical systems.
  • Ensure systems function reliably and efficiently.
  • Perform regular maintenance, updates, and security enhancements.
  • Serve as the primary technical contact for business and IT teams.

System Optimization

  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve system performance.
  • Enhance functionality and user experience.
  • Monitor and adjust system configurations when needed.

Technical Strategy & Development

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical requirements and provide status updates.
  • Communicate use case benefits and impacts to executives.
  • Support design decisions and validate assumptions.
  • Develop and document new digital products.
  • Identify and deliver suitable solutions and services.

Risk Management & Compliance

  • Identify and manage IT-related risks.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity regulations and best practices.
  • Maintain scalability, reliability, and security of technical solutions.

What you bring to Takeda

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Around 10 years of experience in system administration, technical management, or technology leadership.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience within Operations - in two or more functions (production, quality, maintenance, logistics).
  • Proficiency in vendor management, business partnering and contract negotiation.
  • Proficiency in automation and scripting.
  • Exposure to “big” Manufacturing systems (Oracle, SAP, MES, LIMS).
  • Understanding of system architecture, integration, cloud platforms and digital product development.
  • In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity practices, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams and adapt communication to audience.
  • Fluent in English and French.
