OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE:

• 大阪工場の製造設備、ユーティリティ、ファシリティにおけるオートメーションシステム全般のエンジニアリング活動に関して、専門家（SME）として技術的およびマネジメント的なリードを担う。サイトエンジニアリング室長へ報告を行う。
• 製造部門と密接に連携し、信頼性が高く、コンプライアンスを満たし、保守管理された堅牢な製造運転を支えるオートメーションエンジニアリングを提供する事。また、オートメーションエンジニアリングチームが、サイトのエンジニアリング機能における全ての目標を達成するために必要なスキルと能力を備えた人材で構成されているよう努める。
• ビジネス要求（安全性、機能性、能力、信頼性、保守性、コンプライアンス）を満たす適正な設備資産を、タイムリーかつコスト効率良く導入できるよう努める。
• プロジェクトを成功させるために、オートメーションエンジニアリングチームへ必要な技術的・支援を行う。

• Lead Automation engineer as a subject matter expert (SME) and lead with respect to all engineering activities at manufacturing, utilities and facilities automation platforms in Osaka plant with report to site engineering head. Responsible to provide the necessary managerial and technical expertise with regards to process automation engineering activities within the site engineering function.

• Interact closely with the manufacturing departments to ensure that all automation engineering activities are delivered to support reliable, compliant, maintained and robust manufacturing operations. Ensures that the reporting automation engineering team is staffed with the appropriate skills and capabilities to meet all site engineering functional goals.

• Ensures that all automation engineering activities result in fit for purpose assets which meet the business requirements (safety, functionality, capacity, capability, reliability, properly maintained and in compliance) in a timely and cost-effective manner.

• Lastly ensures that adequate technical and numerical support is provided to the automation engineering team to assure the success of engineering operations aspects of improvement projects.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• 必要に応じて、オートメーションエンジニアリング機能の確保のため、リソースを雇用し、トレーニングする。
• 人材の採用・育成を通じて、チームとしての機能・KPI達成に責任を持つ。
• 担当および割り当てられたすべてのシステムに関して、安全性、コンプライアンス、オートメーションのパフォーマンスに対する責任を持つ。
• オートメーションエンジニアリングチームによる時間外の緊急対応や緊急事案への対応を管理する。
• CAPEXチームやシステムオーナーと連携し、ベストプラクティスを適用しながら最適な仕様を提供する。
• 適切なサービス、技術レベル、コスト、そして品質・EHS・財務・規制要件への適合させるために、サービス業者およびサプライヤーの選定と管理を実施する。
• 規制要件およびEHSポリシーを満たす、自動化関連システム向けの標準作業手順書（SOP）を策定・維持する。
• オートメーションシステムの故障や誤動作に関する迅速なトラブルシューティングおよび詳細な原因調査を行うための技術的専門知識を提供し、設備の稼働率および信頼性の維持・向上を図る。
• オートメーションシステムに関するすべてのエンジニアリングマスターデータが、適切かつコンプライアンスに準拠した形で特定・維持されるよう、必要な技術的専門知識を提供する。
• 自動化エンジニアリングに関する適切なトレーニング、ガイドライン、および教材を作成・維持する。
• エンジニアリング部門内で割り当てられたプロジェクトを管理し、サイト内の他部門のプロジェクト計画および実行を支援する。
• グローバルエンジニアリングと連携・調整し、得られた教訓やベストプラクティスを共有する。
• グローバルエンジニアリングおよびグローバルITと連携し、提案されたおよび既存のエンジニアリング標準に対するフィードバックを提供し、施設内で適切に実装する。
• 上司から割り当てられたその他の業務を遂行する。

• Lead, resource as appropriate and manage the portfolio of automation engineering works

• Provide the necessary leadership to drive and maintain the engineering operations and technical support for automation engineering team as appropriate.

• Provide the necessary technical engineering support to manufacturing systems to ensure that all manufacturing systems are available and fit for intended purpose.

• Fully accountable of all the assigned automation assets performance, reliability, safety and compliance.

• Partner with other functions to provide the necessary technical support and Engineering expertise with respect to Process and infrastructure equipment including the overall automation system infrastructure. This includes system owner support to maintain the required URS, specifications and standards to ensure the ongoing reliability of installed automaton assets at the site

• Hire and train the workforce as necessary for the site automation engineering function.

• Develop the automation engineering team to make sure that all reports can fulfill their assigned functional goals and KPIs and contribute to the achievement of the overall Site Engineering Department goals and KPIs

• Own all the associated and assigned systems safety, compliance and automation performance

• Manage out of hours emergency / urgent response from automation engineering team

• Support process system owners and CAPEX team in the specification, operation of key assets via applying best automation practices.

• Execute selection and manage service contractors and suppliers to ensure right services, competency level, cost and fulfillment to relevant Quality, EHS, Finance, regulatory policy and requirement

• Develop and maintain SOPs for automation applicable systems fulfilling Regulatory Requirements and EHS Policies

• Provide technical expertise to enable rapid trouble shooting and in-depth investigations relating to automation system failure and mal-operation to maintain and improve asset availability and reliability

• Provide the necessary technical expertise to ensure that all engineering master data for automation systems is identified and maintained in an appropriate and compliant fashion. 

• Create and maintain appropriate training standards, guides and material for automation engineering

• Manage assigned projects within the engineering function and support other departments at site in the planning and execution of projects

• Consult and coordinate with Global Engineering to share lessons learned and best practices

• Liaise with Global Engineering and Global IT to provide feedback on proposed and existing engineering standards and implement these as appropriate within the facility

• Carry out any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

• 工学系の学士号または修士号
• 医薬品業界でのエンジニア経験10年以上（うち自動化7年以上）
• ビジネスレベルの日本語および英語力（会話・読解・記述）
• 組織・人材マネジメント経験

• Bachelor’s degree or Master's degree of Engineering

• At least +10 years experiences of engineering in pharmaceutical industry, including at least 7 years in automation engineering.

• Must have business level of English/Japanese verbal communication ability and reading/ writing skills in English/Japanese

• People and organization management experience

Preferred

• 海外での業務経験
• IT/OT、MES、UPI開発経験

• Experience of working in overseas countries

• Experience of IT/OT, MES and UPI development
