Team Lead Packaging

About the role:

The Supervisor Manufacturing Packaging is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of teams in the manufacturing and packaging process. This role ensures the conversion of raw materials into finished goods, maintaining adherence to established policies and procedures. By guiding team members and addressing challenges, this role contributes to the efficient production of high-quality products.

How you will contribute:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the manufacturing packaging team (Primary & Secondary).
  • Set clear objectives and ensure the completion of tasks.
  • Guide team members and address challenges that arise.
  • Ensure adherence to established policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching to team members.
  • Engage in resource planning and policy recommendations.
  • Occasionally participate in the work being supervised.
  • Lead investigations when required.
  • Co-ordination of Agile & Lean activities.
  • Involved in change management.
  • Generation & creation of protocols & procedures.
  • Involvement in 'Digital Transformation


Skills and qualifications:

  • Applies basic principles of Good Manufacturing Practices with guidance, ensuring compliance and safety.
  • Implements fundamental sanitation practices to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the packaging areas.
  • Develops practical writing skills, capable of creating clear and concise documentation.
  • Demonstrates understanding of self-motivation techniques, requiring regular coaching to enhance productivity
  • Applies basic Continuous Improvement Process concepts in straightforward situations with support
  • Communicates effectively with team members, understanding key concepts but requiring ongoing supervision
  • Performs routine quality control checks with some coaching, ensuring product meets required standards
  • Conducts basic auditing tasks, understanding fundamental concepts and applying them with supervision
  • Manages workflows by identifying simple obstacles and optimizing processes with guidance
  • Takes ownership of actions and understands the impact of decisions on team and production outcomes
  • Focuses on details, identifying key elements in tasks and improving accuracy over time
  • Operates and troubleshoots basic functions in SAP Applications with guidance
  • Lead investigations & own the implementation of CAPAs

As a supervisor of a team, you will coordinate and oversee the daily operations of your team, setting clear objectives to ensure the completion of tasks. Your role involves applying your expertise to guide team members, addressing challenges that may arise, and ensuring adherence to established policies, practices, and procedures. You will coach your team, provide performance evaluations, and contribute to resource planning and policy recommendations. While you may occasionally engage in the work being supervised, your primary focus will be on driving your team's success and maintaining a collaborative, productive environment.
