Senior Quality Specialist
for a full-time, fixed-term contract position (Maternity Cover 31.07.2026) at our location in Baggot Street, Dublin, Ireland.
As a Senior Quality Specialist, you will be responsible for batch disposition of Drug Substance, Drug Product, and Finished Drug Product manufactured by Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs). You will ensure compliance with Marketing and Manufacturing Authorisations, Takeda’s Global Quality Standards, and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). This role involves close collaboration with external CMOs and internal Quality teams to support timely and compliant product release across the EU region.
How you will contribute:
- Perform batch disposition and technical release of products in SAP/BPR based on documentation from CMOs and Qualified Persons.
- Review and compile batch records and supporting documents to ensure compliance with Takeda and regulatory requirements.
- Transfer critical batch data into Takeda systems such as LabLIMS and SAP.
- Prepare and upload batch certificates and documentation for release and archiving.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align on release processes and timelines.
- Support quality-related activities including deviations, change controls, CAPAs, and Product Quality Reviews (PQRs).
- Maintain quality systems and master data, including SAP inspection plans and product lists.
In this position you will report to the Lead Qualified Person (QP).
What you bring to Takeda:
- A bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific discipline (preferred).
- At least 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage stakeholders across functions and levels.
- Solid understanding of GMP principles and experience working with digital quality systems (e.g., SAP, LabLIMS).
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- A mindset focused on continuous improvement, risk management, and maintaining high standards of compliance.
