Sr Scrum Master

Location: Santa Fe, Mexico City (Hybrid)

What You’ll Do

As a Senior Scrum Master, you will take on a strategic leadership role, navigating complex environments and working across functional units, multiple teams, and senior management. You will be responsible for fostering Agile maturity, scaling Agile practices, and driving continuous improvement across the organization. This role requires a strong ability to influence, coach, and align diverse stakeholders while maintaining a relentless focus on delivering customer value. You will identify allies, remove systemic impediments, and coordinate with other teams to improve the flow of value. Additionally, you will support innovation by helping teams adopt emerging technologies and modern development practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised with an emphasis on continuous improvement and problem-solving.
  • Solve unique and complex problems with broad impact on the business.
  • Offer conceptual and innovative approaches to improve organizational agility.
  • Use expert Agile knowledge to guide teams in utilizing tools and practices for software development.
  • Effectively lead Scrum teams to achieve higher levels of maturity and performance.
  • Guide, coach, and mentor junior or aspiring Scrum Masters.
  • Act as a trusted representative for the team in cross-functional committees and governance forums.
  • Coordinate with IT colleagues from other teams and serve as the single point of contact (SPOC) for the Product Owner, Release Manager, and other business functions.
  • Deliver ongoing training for teams, Product Owners, developers, and testers to support the evolution of Agile practices.

Skills And Qualifications:

Required:

  • Minimum 4 years of Scrum Master experience leading small to mid-sized Agile teams.
  • Minimum 5 years of IT/software delivery experience in Agile environments.
  • Demonstrated impact at the team, program, or product level.
  • Deep understanding of Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, Agile development, and integration practices.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify relationships between problems, risks, and solutions.
  • Proven experience in team and organizational coaching to foster self-management, empowerment, and inter-team collaboration.
  • Ability to adapt to changing environments and drive change.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Miro.
  • English language proficiency.

Preferred:

  • Healthcare and Life Sciences industry experience desired.
    Knowledge across several Agile disciplines (e.g., SAFe, LeSS, Spotify model).
  • Experience using Power BI to generate Agile metrics and reports for stakeholders, connected to Jira.
  • Industry-recognized Agile and/or DevOps qualifications.
  • Preferred University Technical Degree (or equivalent experience).
  • Knowledge of modern development technologies, including AWS, AI/LLMs, and automation.
  • A strong interest in innovation and the ability to support teams in adopting new tools and emerging tech (e.g., agentic AI).
