Job Description

OBJECTIVE

  • Strategic Alignment: Ensure that AI scenario and applications aligned with the overall business strategy and objectives of the pharmaceutical enterprise.
  • Operational Efficiency: Enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of IT applications to streamline business processes.
  • Compliance and Security: Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and ensure the security and integrity of data and system.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Unleash the power of Data, Digital and Technology to achieve China Elevation Plan by building strategic capabilities
  • Be partnership with all relevant BUs/BFs, with a strategic mindset, able to take business priorities, in-depth understanding of the commercial business with the ability to influence, challenge and innovate to enable commercial strategic imperatives.
  • Strategy and Planning
  • Formulate AI Strategy: Assist line manager to develop a comprehensive AI strategy that aligns with the company's overall business objectives and vision. This involves identifying opportunities where AI can add value, such as internal productivity improvement and HCP engagement.
  • Set Long-term Goals: Assist line manager to establish clear, long-term goals for the AI team and projects. These goals should be measurable and aligned with the company's strategic priorities.
  • Project Management
  • Oversee AI Projects: Lead and manage AI projects from conception to completion. This includes defining project scope, setting timelines, and ensuring successful delivery.
  • Ensure Project Success: Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and take corrective actions as needed. Ensure that AI projects meet business requirements and deliver tangible value.
  • Collaboration and Communication
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with various departments, such as medical, marketing, sales, and compliance, to ensure a coordinated approach to AI development and deployment. Collaborate with external partners, including vendors, academic institutions, and research organizations, to leverage external expertise and resources.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate the vision, goals, and progress of AI initiatives to internal and external stakeholders. Present complex technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner to non-technical audiences.
  • Ethical and Compliance Management
  • Ensure Ethical AI Practices: Oversee the creation and enforcement of internal policies on AI, ensuring that AI initiatives are developed and deployed in an ethical and responsible manner. Promote transparency, fairness, and accountability in AI systems.
  • Comply with Regulations: Ensure that AI initiatives comply with applicable legal and regulatory frameworks, including data privacy and security regulations. Stay informed about evolving AI-related laws and regulations and guide the company's compliance efforts.
  • Risk Management
  • Identify and Mitigate Risks: Collaborate with the AI risk management team to identify, assess, and mitigate potential AI risks, such as algorithmic bias, data privacy, and security vulnerabilities.
  • Implement Risk Management Framework: Implement and oversee the AI risk management framework, providing guidance on addressing AI risks.
  • Performance and Impact Evaluation
  • Establish Metrics and Benchmarks: Develop metrics and benchmarks to evaluate the performance and impact of AI systems on the organization and its stakeholders.
  • Monitor and Improve: Continuously monitor AI system performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement necessary enhancements.

Requirements

  • Educational Background:
  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • Prior experience in managing AI tools and implementing relevant strategies in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards relevant to the pharmaceutical sector.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in new generation data warehouse and reporting platform.
  • Experience with AI and machine learning technologies to support enterprise applications.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders while maintaining a focus on business outcomes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to address technical and business challenges.

QUALIFICATIONS

Level of Education

IT / digital background preferred

Bachelor Degree is a must, MBA preferred

Working Experience in Relevant Field

10-15 years experiences in IT/ digital / innovation strategy experiences in pharmaceutical industry
