Job Description

Responsibilities :

• Manage and maintain Oracle database environments to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability
• Implement database backup, recovery, and security practices to protect organizational data
• Design, configure, and maintain comprehensive database monitoring solutions to promptly identify and resolve issues
• Optimize database performance through tuning and query optimization
• Collaborate with development teams to design and implement database solutions that meet project requirements
• Conduct regular audits to ensure database compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements
• Plan and manage database upgrades, migrations, and patching activities
• Document database configurations, procedures, and best practices accurately
• Provide expertise and support for database-related incidents and service requests
• Mentor junior database administrators and provide technical guidance

Skills&Qualifications:

• Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Years of Experience:
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in database administration with a focus on Oracle databases
• Technical Skills:
  • Extensive experience with Oracle Database (versions 12c, 19c, and above)
  • Proficiency in Oracle RAC, ASM, and Data Guard
  • Strong knowledge of performance tuning, query optimization, and database security
  • Expertise in backup and recovery methodologies using RMAN
  • Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for database monitoring and management
  • Proficiency in PL/SQL scripting and database programming
  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux operating systems and shell scripting
  • Solid understanding of data modeling and database design principles
  • Experience with cloud-based Oracle solutions (OCI) is a plus
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
