Financial Analyst, USBU Business Planning & Analysis (BP&A)

About the role:

Are you looking for a patient-focused, innovation-driven company that will inspire you and empower you to shine? Join us as a Financial Analyst, USBU Business Planning & Analysis (BP&A); this position can be located in Lexington, MA or Cambridge, MA. As the Financial Analyst, you are responsible for providing support to the BP&A team to drive the Financial Planning cycles and monthly management reporting. This role will also serves as Finance Business Partner to functional client groups.

How you will contribute:

  • Provide support for the USBU Mid-Range Plan (MRP), Mid-Year Commitment (MYC), and Long-Range Forecast (LRF) financial planning processes and analysis, as well as monthly close management reporting.

  • Prepare reporting decks for functional client groups.

  • Follow up on purchase order (PO) accrual reminders ahead of month-end close.

  • Provide Finance Business Partner support to functional client groups.

  • Work closely with functional client groups to develop their budget.

  • Ensure both routine and ad-hoc data requests are accurate, timely, and of high quality.

  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support BP&A initiatives.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree; Finance or Accounting preferred

  • Some overall business finance or accounting experience (including internship, co-op, etc.)

  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated business impact in previous roles

  • Intellectually curious

  • Experience dealing with ambiguity

  • Organized

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including strong Excel modeling and system skills

  • Passionate about business partnering

Preferred:

  • Pharmaceuticals/Biotech/Commercial experience

    U.S. Base Salary Range:

    The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
